"Blue" the new "Green" in automotive environmentalism {Autoblog}

Jan 2nd 2008 12:25PM http://www.eco-fad.com/2007/09/its-not-easy-being-greenits-soooo-lame.html

A little late on this revelation, I think. We've got to keep environmentalism hip so that celebrities keep doing it and inspire us all.

Next Mustang to include Sedan and Wagon variants {Autoblog}

Dec 13th 2006 2:55PM I have a baby on the way, so I guess I would go for the Shelby GT500 Mustang station wagon.

I wonder if they could make it a convertible?

Paris Motor Show: Toyota Auris space concept {Autoblog}

Sep 28th 2006 7:26PM This looks like one of the nices Toyota concepts I have seen in a while. Actually not bland!

And a hint of McLaren SLR in the nose with that middle emblem?

Cool.

Paris Motor Show: Say Hello to the Audi R8 {Autoblog}

Sep 27th 2006 7:21PM What is up with that side trim panel? What colors does it come in, and can I get mine with out one?

Maybe I'm dumb, but I don't get it.

Also, that shifter joystick is HUGE on the R Tronic, and in the perfect place, right in front of the AC controls. Yeah, it looks good, but so what.

How 'bout this, it is up when in park, but once you start using the paddles to shift, it lowers so you can actually reach the AC controls. Now that would be cool, and actually practical. Who's gonna use the stick shift the auto anyways.

Giving in the name of Richard Hammond {Autoblog}

Sep 22nd 2006 2:51PM I'm sick of hearing about this guy. It's not like he is Princess Diana. He is just a automotive TV personality who made a mistake or had some bad luck. We don't know which.
I hope no one is sending any money to support this guy directly, because I am sure he has plenty and "Top Gear" and the BBC will shell out whatever it takes to keep this guy around for his "miraculous" comeback special.
Also, If I were driving some jet car, I probably would have paid for a Medivac chopper myself, or at least put it in the show's budget in case something went wrong.
If the guy didn't actually get hurt, I wouldn't put it past being a PR stunt, which is what the jet car thing was basically, right?

**Stay Tuned**
-Hammster speaks!-
-Richard H. thanks all his adoring fans for their outpouring of support.- "I was overwhelmed by the response"
-Jeremy Clarkson reviews the latest wheelchairs to speed up Hammsters recovery-
-Top Gear Special "Hammster's tragic accident" - The courage it took for a mere TV personality to brave the risks of getting totally fecked up at 500kph.
-Richard Hammonds triumphant return to Top Gear- A teary-eyed celebrity recounts the difficulties he faced after his tragic accident.
and
finally
-Richard Hammonds triumphant return to "Brainac" in which he and the team test how many coeds does it take to crash a jet car?-

And yes, I am in a bad mood today.

-If your feeling generous, give some money to some starving kids or homeless people, even though they may not be as entertaining to you.

Toyota forecasts continued U.S. sales growth {Autoblog}

Sep 13th 2006 6:41PM Predicting Toyota's growth is about as difficult predicting San Diego's weather. Sunny and in the 70's. Always.

Stability control could become required by law {Autoblog}

Sep 11th 2006 5:07PM I fine with mandating features that really are effective at saving lives. I wouldn't mind if they put speed restrictions on certain types of vehicles to inhibit severe accident situations (i.e. Why do SUVs have to be able to go over 100mph?)

Your right #2. Far more stringent driver education and traffic enforcement would be a far cheaper and more effective solution.

1. I think Slayer is more like you want to crash your car and run over people.
