Officially Official: New Ferrari California exposed! {Autoblog}
May 13th 2008 8:15AM I'm split on this one.
The front angled picture makes to car look a little bulbous, and the sculpted side brought on visions of 10 year old Alfa coupes with that really severe slash down the side.
Then I switched to the side view, and the curves really stretched out and looks much better in this view: you can really spot the past influences here. And haters, please remember: it may only look like Anycar, but that's because everyone copied the old Ferraris in the first place. The only "fault" I see is the placement on the door handles - they should be only the very top edge of the door for looks and easy access.
The rear is where I have bigger issues. There's just too much going on: too many lines and surfaces that look like they were forced together to try to unify the design. I can even live with the immature tailpipes. Novitec take note: get on the single pipe finisher thing ASAP.
Of course, on the tech side, another home run for prancing horse.

Apr 23rd 2008 1:06PM The warranty used to be 4 years. Me thinks this change is because the 4th year of warranty claims was abnormally high and they want to steer from that.
"state-of-the-art European engineering" apparently only lasts 3 years.
This raises a big red flag for me. Mind you, I'd never consider a VW in the first place, so...

Pity.

Apr 17th 2008 2:31PM This is already head and shoulders above the Sebring, style wise.
Mind you, I also think the Sebring is one of the ugliest cars on the road today...
I'm sure quality will be an issue, but automakers discount Chinese offerings at their own peril, especially in the next decade.

Apr 14th 2008 3:33PM Just like calling the Suzuki SX4 a crossover, calling it a four-door coupe doesn't make it so.
They're just swoopy sedans.
Way to get on the marketing bandwagon, GM.

Apr 11th 2008 9:23PM Exactly.
If it's a mid-engine car, lose the front overhang.
The front fenders could be blended into the hood alot more and the hood would then not look so much like something you could land a helicopter on.
Unless it's a Bond car...
Nah...
