Jul 24th 2008 9:09AM Considering he owns a Corvette museum I'm sure he will have no problems buying an additional ZR1 to abuse at the track.

Jul 23rd 2008 9:24AM When I was in highschool I 'interned' with the engineer's office at city hall and worked with the cities traffic engineer. He was a very old and bitter man who would occasionally drink on the job. I think this explains why a lot of the traffic lights are timed the way they are.
The Clone Wars: Chinese copy banned from Europe {Autoblog}
Jul 23rd 2008 9:05AM Wow, I'm glad someone is putting their foot down and stopping the Chinese from blatantly ripping off ANOTHER car. I guess these will still be sold in China in great numbers?

Jul 23rd 2008 9:00AM In the day and age of fake side vents and acres of chrome on any vehicle, I am glad to hear this. A simple, functional, and understated design with a 'to the point' attitude would be refreshing among the three bar chrome grills, wonky plastic c-pillars, L-shaped headlights, weird floating grills, and ugly bangle butts. Sometimes less is more.

Jul 22nd 2008 11:20AM I don't understand all the hate for to Cobalt. My girlfriend owns an '06 LS Cobalt and I've spent a lot of time behind the wheel. It's a great little car and does exactly what it's supposed to do. It gives a decent ride and returns great fuel economy. I know I get around 34 on the highway. The powertrain is relatively smooth and it makes more than enough power to be able to drive it comfortably at highway speeds. The ride is by no means sporty but it does a good job over the bumps and potholes. The styling isn't half bad (she owns the coupe) and I'd prefer it over just about anything except the 3.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't feel like a cardboard box and the suspension doesn't create 'imaginary bumps.' I wonder if you all have even driven the car. The interior does use a few cheap plastics but it's an economy car that comes in a good bit cheaper than the Civic and Mazda 3.

Jul 21st 2008 2:03PM That's what I read the first time I glanced at the tittle. For some reason I wouldn't have been too surprised, MINI hasn't been making much since lately.
Low-rolling resistance tires going mainstream {Autoblog}
Jul 15th 2008 9:17AM Couldn't agree more. I'm amazed people spend so much money on a car and then skip simple, cheap, preventive maintenance. You don't have to be a 'car guy' to check your tires, oil, and brakes every now and then.
