Now it's (quasi) official: Chevy Beat to U.S. {Autoblog}

Jul 3rd 2008 5:07PM We need these machines here NOW, GM...not further down the line...I just hope the General doesn't dumb them down to mere "appliances" as in base models with nothing in them, if U all know what I mean...

Peace!

Toyota adds 5-door Yaris to U.S. lineup {Autoblog}

Jul 1st 2008 2:39PM This new addition, the five door Liftback, is good (IMHO).
My question is:
Will Toyota also offer Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) as an option with the Yaris for 2009?
Hmmmmmm...
Anyone have a clue on this?
Peace

More details on the 2009 Ford Focus {Autoblog}

May 14th 2008 8:19AM Will the 2009 Focus sedans also have these "improvements"...??? I was considering the purchase of an '09 Focus coupe before these new exterior changes were made public, but now I don't think so. If Ford decides to mess with the SES sedan design as they have with the coupe then I will not "focus" on purchasing this machine. Perhaps the coupe looks better in another, brighter color. Maybe? Oy... It's absurd to have a spoiler on an economy car like this. How foolish! The list of demerits with this vehicle are too many to list here, IMHO.
Ford: What have you done? Forgive them, for they know not what they do.

This thing WILL sell, though, because peeps won't care about its looks. Know what I'm sayin'? Bummer!

Peace

SYNC retrofit kit now available for 2008 Navigator, Mustang next {Autoblog}

May 2nd 2008 7:37AM How about SYNC availability for the Lincoln Town Car?
I'm sure some who get a pre-owned TC, and decide to customize it, would dig having SYNC. There are many, I'm sure, youngbloods out there, especially in Cali, who are given their grandmas's/grandpa's TC and pimping them out...a post '04 TC retrofit with SYNC would be da bomb!

Amen!

Spy Shots: Return of the Chevy Aveo5? {Autoblog}

Jul 22nd 2007 11:55AM What the 2008 AVEO5 should improve on is side curtain airbags, and perhaps better side protection in general. It seems no improvements have been made in this respect for the new model year. Plus Chevy SHOULD make OnStar available, for those that want it, as an option on the higher priced versions of both the 5 and sedan. Of course this is out of the question. Why? If you really want OnStar you must go with the Cobalt, which may be a ploy on GM's part to get one to really purchase the Cobalt in the long run. Yeah, I know what some may say:
We don't want OnStar with such an inexpensive machine, to keep costs down. After all, it IS "cheap" transportation. Later for that (OnStar). Well, I disagree. It still should be an option, for those that may desire it, for peace of mind to the driver of such a small machine as this. I speak for myself, but a few may agree.

Peace!

12,600 people place $99 order for Smart fortwo in U.S. {Autoblog}

May 10th 2007 11:14PM I aggree with Mike and the other dan concerning the constant whining some of you have with your criticisms of the Smart. Peeps will always buy whatever they want, and I say to each their own. Live and let live. Many critcized the original Beetle, and for all its shortcomings that machine became an icon. I'm not saying the Four Two will become a new icon to look up to, but for now who can say?

Mike and the other dan: you're both on the beam!
Bravo!

I would definitely go for the Smart. I find it da bomb, so to speak, but I speak only for myself.

In this age of rising petrol costs this tiny machine may be just the thing to open doors for similar automobiles to make their way here. Toyota has such a vehicle in the works, and I'm sure some of you will continue to whine and complain.

Peace!

Toyota GB launches Yaris SR 1.8 {Autoblog}

Mar 20th 2007 10:46PM Hi all...

I wonder if anyone will read what I have to say, but I'm still giving it a go:
If Toyota gave us a break and offered this version of the Yaris I certainly would buy it on the spot.
I favor the 3dr liftback, but then I'm speaking for myself. Does anyone think that this version is available with EITHER 5sp or automatic transmission (CVT perhaps)? Just wondering...

TOYOTA: WAKE UP!!!

Cheers-

Peace!
