Against all odds, Buick to say: "Take a look at me now" {Autoblog}

Jun 16th 2009 4:53PM If GM is smart, they'll pull Buick off the U.S. market and move the brand - lock, stock, and barrel - China where it's selling well. And let the Chinese government shore-up GM's investment in their economy . . . not our government(!). An even leaner GM on this side of the pacific could eventually result in greater profits for the company.

Against all odds, Buick to say: "Take a look at me now" {Autoblog}

Jun 15th 2009 12:37PM Ho-hum(!). Same 'ole crap, same 'ole basically-fifties-design-cues Buicks. Buicks will - apparently - ALWAYS have waterfall grilles and portholes. I was hoping that either the threat of disvolving the company would have kicked GM in the buttocks to actually give Buick a new image and/or the U.S. government's intervention in the company would MAKE them change. But no. And I wouldn't be surprise if - in five to seven years - Buick bites the dust just like Oldsmobile and Pontiac. At least I hope so because I, for one, will never buy a Buick. Not when there are Lexus and Acuras to choose from.

Officially Official: 2010 Ford Mustang by Hot Wheels {Autoblog}

Nov 30th 2008 10:31AM The model sucks . . . the real car sucks! I can't believe Ford hid the Mustang from being seen when it looks hardly any different than the current car. It's just a slightly tweaked version of the same old tiresome design Ford's designers have been 'updating' for years. One day maybe Ford will dare to venture out and give the Mustang a more modern look. Guigiaro did it, why can't Ford? Has the now-stale Mustang design become so sacred that the designers don't DARE change it?

Officially Official: 2010 Ford Mustang by Hot Wheels {Autoblog}

Nov 29th 2008 12:59PM Interesting that the Hot Wheels car has no rear-view mirrors. Are they optional on the actual car, and thus the omission?

Acura 2+1 design study takes superman shield to next level {Autoblog}

Sep 20th 2008 12:18PM You guys who mourn the way cars used to look had better get in step with where design is going. New trends are surfacing, and new directions are being explored for the way cars in the next decade will look. These trends - you're all hating - are what's going to populate the roads sooner than you think!

Acura 2+1 design study takes superman shield to next level {Autoblog}

Sep 20th 2008 12:03PM It's fantastic! Toyota started this trend of shapes-into-shapes design (Lamborghini picked up on it with the restyling of the Gallardo's endcaps) and now Acura has taken it to the extreme . . . but very well done. There's a freshness in this concept car, an expressiveness that's exceptional with clever use of clear panels - from the front of the hood to the rear window - that's remarkable. An excellent design!

Rare Lamborghinis to be featured at Pebble Beach {Autoblog}

Aug 13th 2008 7:09PM I'm blessed so much . . . a friend of mine has a 1967 Miura in pristine condition (it was the Monaco pace car in '67), and I get to see it often. And oh(!), what a sound the V12 makes!!!

Inside Line picks top ten cars to be auctioned in Monterey {Autoblog}

Aug 10th 2008 10:17AM I wish I had the money to attend (and bid!). A friend of mine has a 1967 Lamborghini Miura and I would love to have the SV that's going on the block this weekend. I hope whoever gets the car will treasure what a fine car a Miura is and appreciate the joy of its performance.
