Jul 10th 2009 3:47PM Not even close to having the beautiful proportions of the 300SL. There's not much I like about this. blah.
REPORT: Plans under way for harborfront IndyCar Grand Prix in Baltimore {Autoblog}
Jul 9th 2009 8:12AM Great Idea! Especially since I live 20 minutes away. I'd definitely go see this.
Michael Bay filmed Megan Fox washing his Ferrari as part of her Transformers audition?! {Autoblog}
Jul 8th 2009 1:56PM Well we know Michael Bay is not stupid that's for sure. She looks freakin hot in those pics. I'm surprised she'd agree to wash his car though. That seems a bit much since I bet she had the job from the moment he got sprung.

Google phone designers plot for "The End of Driving" with autonomobile {Autoblog}
Jul 8th 2009 11:50AM The best way for the autonomous vehicle to work is for it to be flying. Roads are literally ancient technology that only creates an oppressive and ugly infrastructure of never ending repair and govt./taxpayer expense.
This concept is just lame.

Speed Reading: Cheeseball NASCAR romance novel covers we can't help but love {Autoblog}
Jul 6th 2009 4:17PM Other car racing series only wish they were popular enough to be able to pedal such junk. Personally I think these fit the demographic about perfectly and think it's a stroke of genius by Nascar.
If I was Nascar I'd start selling Men's Pajamas that look exactly like the racing uniforms the drivers wear. The wives can then fantasize when reading the book, and be ready for when their Lazy-Boy husband finally turns off the race on tv and comes upstairs.
EDITORIAL: Attention Wall Street Journal - Ford does not use Toyota's hybrid system! {Autoblog}
Jul 5th 2009 4:33PM This is a case of perception becoming reality for this ignorant WSJ writer.
BREAKING: Chevrolet Camaro outsells Ford Mustang in June {Autoblog}
Jul 3rd 2009 4:02PM I agree with Mr Oak here. In the 70's the Camaro/Firebird Duo were definitely superior to the Mustang. Just Carroll Shelby famously called the original Mustang, "It's a secretary's car" no more than in the 1970's! hehe
The fact is the Mustang has a wider appeal than the Camaro. It pretty much always has except for a few times when it was particularly bad, or GM had a particularly good Camaro to offer.
Hyundai starts accepting Cash-for-Clunkers trade-ins early {Autoblog}
Jul 2nd 2009 6:02PM It gives Hyundai a headstart on stripping this cars down for parts before sending them to the crusher. Maybe they can make a bit of cash on the deal. cars.gov states:
"The entity crushing or shredding the vehicles in this manner will be allowed to sell some parts of the vehicle prior to crushing or shredding it, but these parts cannot include the engine or the drive train."
That's a pretty broad statement right there.
