Green Genesis Coupe shows up, 286 hp turbo DI engine nearby? {Autoblog}
May 6th 2008 7:15PM the front reminded me of the 01 gen Accord...
I like the look. all the cars are getting some of those "good" designs.. what looks good looks good.. it's not "changes" that makes something looks good..
trying too hard sometimes is just a bad thing.. look what happened to BMW a few years back.. and what is happening to Acura overall /Honda Accord (and their TSX that looks like saturn.. anyone noticed Acura only show the front of the TSX for about 1~2 sec out of the entire TV ad where they showed the sides and rear multiple times?)
Nissan Altima coupe's rear is awsome too.. looks like a Austin Martin..

May 6th 2008 5:54PM ZR1 is one of the most collectible corvette because there is only 2000 of them.. It is not the oldest of Corvette, it is not the most original of the C6 gen, but ZR1 is however, the most powerful of the C6 gen "stock tuned" corvette. that's about all there is to it..
It might be the most powerful corvette if C7 ended up dying away because of all the CAFE restriction and gas price crisis. or the most powerful gasoline powered corvette if C7 end up being Hydrogen cell/Electrical.

May 6th 2008 4:53PM a quote from a corvette forum:
======================
Well, some of you folks told me it would happen, I just didn't want to believe you. As it turns out, Huffines Chevy in Plano showed their true colors. Just under a year ago I met with the Sales Manager and General Manager and started the ZR-1 list. They assured me at that time, and for many months thereafter that they would sell me the car at MSRP. Their montra was that "Mr. Huffines Policy is to never sell a car over MSRP. Well, about two weeks ago the proved what that policy was worth.
Not only are they not going sell me the car at MSRP, they are not going to sell me the car at all. In a meeting with the GM (John Joast) I was told, "Sorry, but we've decided to tear up the list and we are going to sell our cars on Ebay". When I asked "what happened to our deal, your assertion that Ray Huffines policy was to never sell over MSRP and your assurances that this wouldn't happen," he answered "we've made a business decision and I don't car what Ray Huffines policy is, I run this dealership".

buy American! and the economy you safe might just be yours! (ha.. right)
plenty of other cars to buy that can perform just as good/better with tune ups with all that marks up.
on top of that.. ZR1 has only been making performance claim with their (SC engine/break/exclusive tire) spec, and the only proof that shows all those stuffs works together so far is nothing but that 7:40 Nur run..

May 6th 2008 2:50PM after taking a close look at the breaking point of the pedal structure... it has no structural reenforcement against force applied from a 45 degree angle.
I think the arm is only gonna hold when you apply your foot direct at the pedal . if you push sideway down the pedal (45 degree) and assuming there is enough friction between your shoe and the pedal preventing any sliding.. it's prob gonna break..
the right side of the pedal was "sealed" for a short length unlike the left that remain open. but the "sealing" on the right ended where the pedal broke off... is right side sealed all the way from the broken part all the way up ?

May 6th 2008 12:57PM ..... no matter not hard he was stepping on the pedal... as long as it is done with human foot it shouldn't break.. why? just think when you step on that break pedal during emergency and it breaks off...
Corvette ZR1 engineer says GT-R won't be King of the 'Ring for long {Autoblog}
May 2nd 2008 2:37PM I will take a GT-R anytime just because it's groundbreaking.
a lambo or ferrari looks better than vette anytime. but that makes vette speical on the road is it's performance that you only had to pay about 72k for.. and at this point.. GT-R is superior than Z06..
ZR1 is not even production ready.. with a price tag. so who knows if it's gonna be a "max performance/price" or "look! rich man's ride"
