May 14th 2008 6:06AM The 360 has turned profit for the last quarter or more, so Microsoft sees reason to continue but the RRoD also hopefully taught them to actually focus on build quality next generation. Very few companies are headstrong enough to enter a market and continue to operate at a loss, MS is one of the few that can afford it. Besides MS typically will make three stabs at a market before considering throwing in the towel and the 360 has proven they can succeed in getting a MS product into the living room, a long standing goal.

May 9th 2008 7:32AM He mentioned books... umm books have been the one sacred medium in American culture since it's inception. Judicial decisions and legislations have set up special provisions to protect books from censorship and keep the government from snooping into what you've been reading. Because of this games have been protected, but as a matter of tradition I doubt that anything curtailing the availability of a book to well anyone really would fly.
*note pornographic periodicals/magazines are not considered books though they have been protected under freedom of speech stuff generally.

The only thing I really disagree with is killing off the Mountaineer and possibly Mariner. Ford needs to cut back on the Explorer and Expedition, and use the Mercury label to bridge the gap between the Ford and Lincoln Labels. And allow Lincoln to aim for the Cadillac with the Navigator, MKX and Mark LT. They also need to differentiate the body styling more between brands as GM has done recently, though GM seems to be taking steps backward in this regard.
