Nov 12th 2007 9:49AM I drove the previous generation of Opel Zafira in Europe a couple of years ago and it was better than the current Mazda5 and Rondo. In that this is the 2nd gen, one could only assume its better.
I will definitely be in test driving this vehicle when my lease is up on my current car. This is huge given that I never stepped in a GM dealership because I have always hated their cars.
GM loses $39 billion in third quarter, but autos are profitable {Autoblog}
Nov 7th 2007 1:01PM This isn't a cash loss. This is a writedown in a tax asset (which arose when GM posted all of its losses). Because tax assets have a finite life, if management can't prove to the auditors that they will be able to aply all of the tax assets against future tax liabilities when GM becomes profitable, than they must be written off. This has nothing to do with management, build quality, unions...
BMW expect rising fuel costs to spur 1-series sales {Autoblog}
Oct 18th 2007 4:51PM I'll wait for a 120i or 120d thank you. This car shouldn't need 200+ hp to be fun (though there is no doubt it won't hurt)
Magna finally opens up the doors to unions {Autoblog}
Oct 15th 2007 6:24PM I hope, for the employees sake, that the union drives fail (just like the CAW drives at Ontario's Honda and Toyota plants).
They have a really good thing going at Magna, and I would hate to see them lose it.
IIHS finds some SUVs perform worse than cars in side impacts {Autoblog}
Oct 11th 2007 11:10AM Based on my experience, I feel safer driving a car than a truck because, the handling is better, steering is more precise and the brakes are better, all of which would help me avoid the accident in the first place.

No surprise Cadillac is planning RWD sub-CTS {Autoblog}
Oct 9th 2007 10:00AM Agreed. Hopefully they can get the curb weight down below 3500 lbs. It would certainly make it a blast to drive, as well as improve gas mileage, both of which would help sales both in NA and Europe.
Chinese coming on strong at 2008 Detroit Auto Show {Autoblog}
Oct 5th 2007 10:31AM Unfortunately for rolex, bmw,... demand for knockoffs drives supply, and not the otherway around. I think these products say more about consumers than they do about the producers.
