Nissan offering buyouts to Tennessee workers {Autoblog}
Jul 30th 2008 11:03PM Gary Lowe, what on earth are you talking about? The move to Tennessee has been very profitable and the Altima was Consumer Reports' best family seadn, beating Accord, Camry and Malibu hands down. Murano defined an entire segment, is known for build quality and has been imitated by dozens on car companies.
Then there's the GT-R, giant killer at a bargain price. Every vehicle made in the Smyrna plant has better initial quality than the class average.
So, your point, other than to whine at Nissan, was?

Apr 17th 2008 10:21PM The SAE show has been dead since 2002. Focus on Bibendum, DARPA and First Robotics to find the real talent.
SAE has become a third tier trade show and a job fair.
GM aligns brands into four marketing channels, hires away Nissan exec {Autoblog}
Apr 16th 2008 7:41PM Mark McNabb left Nissan 6 weeks ago. I'm not sure that's hiring him away.
Maybe he can spread the rotten morale that I hear existed in sales and marketing at Nissan to GM. I've never seen the man smile.

Apr 10th 2008 10:32PM Rationalize all you want. Corvettes of any stripe are a dime a dozen. And do you Corvette apologists know what it's going to feel like when a GT-R pulls up next to you at a light... on ANY road and you're sitting there KNOWING who your daddy is?
Yeeeeeeah, I thought so. LMAO Who's your daddy fanbois? Better looking.... softer suspeansion waaaaah.

Porsche 911 Turbo, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and U.S. spec. Nissan GT-R hit the racetrack {Autoblog}
Mar 21st 2008 11:50PM RJ, you sound less like "a huge Nissan fan with each paragraph. Why do people get off so by pretending to be for a car, political candidate or whatever - then trashing them.
RJ wants me to believe he's a HUGE Nissan fan, then tries to explain why the fastest car Nissan has ever built is not "all that."
Grow up.
Porsche 911 Turbo, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and U.S. spec. Nissan GT-R hit the racetrack {Autoblog}
Mar 20th 2008 11:12PM That's funny...Although i only drove the GT-R for a little while, I've driven all three of these cars and I would rate the 911 and GT-R in a virtual tie and the Vette a distant 3rd. Distant. Why? the suspension is not suited for daily driving, nor is the seating position. What's really interesting is that the Z05 sounds so badass, while the other two barely give a hint of what devastation they can deliver with one stab of the throttle.
The Corvette is the embodiment of the US auto industry... more flash than substance. The 911T is still the real deal, but the GT-R is a supercar for a very reasonable price.
