Ford shoots for 100,000 Flex sales a year {Autoblog}
Apr 11th 2008 2:40PM I agree that the car's design is not good. It reallly makes me think what factos they take in consideration at ford when they decide what exterior design should be adopted. The example that everybody knows - the current Ford Focus - you don't need a trained eye to tell that the exterior design is just crap. Same with Flex - it seems to me like a very poor design decision. But again something must have made them decide for the boxy/not streamlined design. It is kind of similar to the jeep patriot. Is that thing selling? I don't thing ford will sell more flexes then the patriot. Anyways, does anybody know what factors they take in consideration when deciding the final design trend - surveys etc??

New York 2008: Volvo C30 R-Design is R-some {Autoblog}
Mar 20th 2008 4:30PM Okay... It's just like the Mini Clubman story again. There was a post on Autoblog evey hour about it! Same with this under par Volvo. Car manufactureres don't know what to do to make people buy their lame products. Make it longer, put some bling biling on it and call it limited edition - whatever works. Please no more posts about the Volvo hatchback - we got the idea!

Mar 18th 2008 9:57AM Volvo cars are very overpriced. My girlfriend wanted to get an S40 so we went to check it out. For 30k you get an engine and 4 wheels. The car is extremely spartan. While I was there I checked out the hatchback - same story. When I asked the dealer why the cars are so expensive he said that they invest a lot of money in engineering a safer vechicle. While volvo is a safe vehicle there are a lot more cars that have same safety ratings that go for less money. As another person who commented here volvo is definetly a car that is living on its european heritage hype here in the US. Definetly a bad price/what you get balance.
