Spy Shots: Baby Cayenne caught on 'Ring! {Autoblog}

May 8th 2008 12:45PM Also, in case anyone hasn't noticed, the hot-type of cars in the US are crossovers and small cars such as the Fit and Prius. In other words, SUV buyers of yesteryear are conforming to the crossovers, and car buyers are going for smaller and more efficient.

Porsche is being smart by filling in the gap in their lineup. You can't blame them for trying to provide more of a variety of vehicles in their lineup. It's actually quite brilliant, from a capitalist standpoint. Remember, people aren't going to stop buying 911s because Porsches makes other cars such as the Cayenne, Panamera, and this new crossover/baby Cayenne.

May 8th 2008 12:40PM They are bumping the power, displacement, and front fascias of just about all of their models within the next year or two. The Cayman S will likely get something like 315. As an owner of an '07 Cayman S, the power it has is sufficient. I think it would be a mistake to overpower the car. If I had to put a limit on what power the Cayman S should have, it would be between 330 and 340.

Some people appreciate handling more than power, though, the current model (like I have) could use the bump it will get within the next two years, but not much more.

Ford holds Taurus SHO focus group in Chicago... what does it mean??? {Autoblog}

May 7th 2008 3:52PM I just got back from England and know a bit about Fords in Australia and all I have to say is:

"Ford, why the hell are all your better models not for sale in the US."

Thanks,

P.S. Good job on the Bullitt, but I dumped by black one for a brand new Cayman S.

Hyundai, Kia to get version of Microsoft's in-car connectivity {Autoblog}

May 6th 2008 12:39PM And consequently, the quality ratings of these car manufacturers will go down. Microsoft is terrible (as I hypocritically hammer-away my response using Microsoft hardware and software).

Apr 17th 2008 7:40AM "There's still a lot of work to do and not a lot of time left to do it, ...."

There's your first indication that this won't be a project that's done right. Any time there's "too much work for the time that's left," things usually don't get done well. If they're going to rush-job this, I'm not interested.

2009 BMW Z4 to be offered with either soft- or hard-top {Autoblog}

Apr 11th 2008 11:49AM I cannot wait for this car to come out! I'm a big Porsche fan, but I love the BMW roadsters (Z3, Z4). I'm looking for a good excuse to get a Z4 over a Porsche. I hope there are some engine/suspension upgrades too?

Apr 8th 2008 12:19PM I strongly disagree as an owner of a black one. For people who don't really care about having the "right" color for a proper Bullitt and are just a fan of the car and its understated looks, black looks a lot better, trust me. The green looks awesome, too. Plus, I like being one of very few (relatively) who have a black Bullitt. I've seen a few green ones on the road already, and haven't seen another black one yet.

Apr 7th 2008 12:55PM The one in the last body style wasn't great looking, which had a lot to do with the general mustang body style of the time.

I really think your comments lack substance, and are founded on a built-in bias towards Ford/Mustangs/Steve McQueen/Bullitts/Car Chase Scenes/What have you. Why did you even bother clicking on this link?

Did you even read the article?

Apr 7th 2008 12:30PM "The gun-sight motif also appears again on the tach and speedo, while the seats are standard Mustang GT fare trimmed in black leather."

Wrong. Seats are from the Shelby GT500.

Apr 2nd 2008 4:03PM If they call it the 430 GT California, I would be disappointed.
