Harley-Davidson gets into product placement in new Indiana Jones flick {Autoblog}
Apr 30th 2008 10:08AM it is so sad to see Indy look this old. This movie may ruin my childhood. We were saved geriatric Han Solo at least.

Apr 24th 2008 12:31PM totally agree. I had that hovercraft. Loved the depth chargers and the front hatch to storm beaches/bedroom floors. Ah nostalgia. Oh and good tie in to the whole G8 demands from enthusiasts. Really interested to see how it sells in real life.

Apr 15th 2008 10:45AM Yes they have a deal with Lotus.
It doesn't matter. neither of these companies will get off the ground to make any real dent in the industry. Nor change the energy infrastructure. They're just building niche green vehicles for the wealthy. That won't change how america commutes.
IIHS midsize smack down: Side impact ratings better, rear crashes, not so much {Autoblog}
Apr 10th 2008 10:45AM The new Accord is a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS in the MIDSIZE sedan class. I'm guessing because it had already been tested it did not need to be included in this round of test.
Other Midsizes that get teh Top Safety Pick nod are the Audi A3, A4, Saab 9-3 and Subaru Legacy (with optional stability control)

Volkswagen ist das Auto {Autoblog}
Apr 3rd 2008 10:19AM yeah, listening to a german voice from a car reminds me of the Dr. Z campaign. NO ONE wanted to listen to a German selling unreliable cars then, I don't think the celebs will help now either. I think the Sign Then Drive ads and the Get Safe ads do the job. How does showing a classic bug help people realize there are new cars coming?

In the Autoblog Garage: 2008 Volvo XC70 [w/VIDEO] {Autoblog}
Mar 13th 2008 1:40PM Not sure why the hate keeps flowing for Volovs here on AB. Also not sure why it isn't compared to other wagons in its class versus two vehicles vastly different. Also those safety feature options raise the price significantly like the Blind spot and accident avoidance. Those two alone total $2200.
I agree mileage could be better but in all the GM crossovers I've experienced worse, Acadia, Outlook and Enclave, not better mileage.
I found the XC70 extremely nice for the price. Less than an Audi, BMW or Mercedes, safer, kid booster seats built in, a gigantic rear cargo area with trick underfloor storage and solid rails.
If you go into the test comparing it to an SUV and want to fit 3 kids in it I'm not sure you'd ever come out with a positive review.
I do agree it should get the new T6 from the S80. That engine is far superior. This engine is decent though.
