Insignia will come to U.S. as a Saturn, with new sheetmetal, interior {Autoblog}
Jul 23rd 2008 4:56PM Makes you wonder why they would mess with a good thing. Maybe due to regulations?
2010 Chevy Camaro - Official Details and Images {Autoblog}
Jul 21st 2008 5:11PM I have a Honda Accord with 150 hp and it only gets 2-3 mpg better than the V6 with twice the horsepower. I'd gladly give up 2-3 mpg for double the power...
Ford brings 2010 Mustang out to play at Road America {Autoblog}
Jul 21st 2008 9:16AM I hope it has independent rear suspension and powertrains that are competitive with the new Camaro's, otherwise it will be a tough row to hoe for the new Mustang.
2010 Chevrolet Camaro revealed! {Autoblog}
Jul 18th 2008 2:51PM This is going to give the Mustang big problems. It outclasses it in so many ways. The base V6 is much more powerful and modern than the Mustang's. The V8 is way more powerful too. It has independent rear suspension. Ford better get off their butts and get the Mustang with the program...
In the Autoblog Garage: 2009 Ford Flex Limited [w/VIDEO] {Autoblog}
Jul 18th 2008 9:37AM "When we first had the chance to sit inside a Flex at the 2007 New York Auto Show, we were met with the same hard plastic that adorns the Taurus X. Fortunately, Ford performed a complete 180 for the production model, and the result is a level of refinement that is unsurpassed in the Ford lineup, stacking up nicely against the Honda Pilot and Buick Enclave."
I don't know if any of you have driven in the new Pilot, but even the top of the line interior struck me as "el cheapo". My 2000 Accord's interior materials feel far superior...
In the Autoblog Garage: 2009 Ford Flex Limited [w/VIDEO] {Autoblog}
Jul 18th 2008 9:29AM I like the Flex. It looks great and is way cooler than any minivan out there. It provides families an excellent option to give them what they need without the minivan stigma or inefficiency of a large SUV.

Jul 18th 2008 8:58AM The Cruze looks great. Just another example of how government regulations hurt the consumer. Surely if it's safe enough for Europe, it's safe enough for here...

Bush says no bailouts for automakers {Autoblog}
Jul 16th 2008 2:14PM Government is a big part of the problem that these companies face although there is plenty of blame on their part. Failed energy policies (driven by enviro-Fascists) are a major cause. Regulations such as CAFE are another. If it was truly a market driven economy, I would say no way to any kind of help from the government. But the fact is that it's not. I would support what was done for Chrysler back in the late 1970's which was not a bailout, but loan guarantees. The cost of allowing these companies to fail with all of the job losses for those companies and all the supporting companies would cost way more than backing a few billion dollars worth of loans.
Mercury dying: No updates planned past 2010 {Autoblog}
Jul 15th 2008 3:36PM Mercury's whole raison d'ĂȘtre was to provide volume cars for Lincoln-Mercury dealers. I don't know how well Lincoln only dealerships would make out. Maybe they could sell Mazda and Volvo? Or maybe they could keep the brand and bring over some of the cool cars they have from Europe and Australia...
