Jul 24th 2008 11:23AM The Scion did a 1:47. Chris Rado is driving it. Thats 3 seconds faster than Matt in the turbo Miata.
The Subaru did a 1:38. Its all wheel drive, I personally like the 2 door body. The GST car has competed in One Lap of America and did well.
When I see and think Miata, I think West Hollywood. Its a gay males, or a womans car. Ask people what they think of a Miata , and "cute" is what most people will say.
Miatas are great handling cars. Most people that race them, love them. I have tons of friends that road race Miatas in SCCA, and spec series. I still say its a gay males car.
However the real reason there are no pictures, are we did not take pictures of every run group. Sometimes it happens. Miss a few sessions. Perhaps he wasn't out in that session.

Jul 21st 2008 10:54AM The Porsche, the Corvette are all going to DSG in the future. You all that want 3 pedals , can put a fake pedal down there, and pretend.
Maybe that will be the next big thing for wankers that "want to shift gears themselves". Fake shifters and pedals. It will make them feel better about themselves.

Jul 2nd 2008 10:40AM A stock wing is always a compromise. You want to place the wing where it gets the most undisturbed air. The point of the wing is to give you downforce. That rear wing downforce , balanced with front splitters/front downforce, make car go fast around corners.
Mechanical grip only gets you so far. I was always a skeptic of big wings, until I saw actual results, and actually did some research. On your Honda street car , they look a bit ridiculous , however on a racecar they are a necessity .

How come people believe this car is untuneable ? Is it all the press releases ?
The Japanese speed limiter has been hacked months ago. More than 10 companies offer ECU's and tuning for the car already.
Many companies offer wheels and tires for the car... BBS anyone ?

There are some pretty cool cars in the new movie. Most of it has been out already. Theres a video on Youtube of the start of one race. Has a Chevelle that does a wheelstand.
They just finished filming this last week. I think scheduled release is in 2009. I am sure everyone will be waiting with baited breath for the next installment.
