Rumormill: Nissan's new RWD sports coupe could be hybrid-powered {Autoblog}

May 16th 2008 5:09PM @pmiddle5

I'm not sure what you mean by if it is a hybrid, it has no torque. Hybrids actually could be a solution to a 4-cylinder with no torque. Electric motors put down great torque numbers as soon as you rev, since they make all of their torque immediately.

Fuzzy logic has Cadillac CTS-V producing 567 horsepower {Autoblog}

Apr 28th 2008 2:48PM You're on the right track but I think that even better would the LS3 from the G8 GXP. The 400+ horsepower would be right in the middle of the 300 HP DI and 550+ V

Fuzzy logic has Cadillac CTS-V producing 567 horsepower {Autoblog}

Apr 28th 2008 1:34AM I agree with mk's comment. There is so much of a disparity between the 304 in the 3.6 DI and the 550+ V that there is room for another model in between. With both the M5 and E63, there are still V8 options above their powerful V6's, something that Cadillac should most definitely mimick. Even though mags still compare the CTS to the 3 and C-class, it is 5 and E-class sized, and should have the engines to match.

VIDEO: Buick Invicta designers talk about their new concept {Autoblog}

Apr 19th 2008 7:47PM This car should have FWD and AWD which should serve the target market very well. Dave is right in that not every car is geared toward performance. This should still be able to handle the 3.6 or 3.6 DI fine along with still be a quiet, smooth, luxurious car. The Lacrosse's competitors aren't going to the 3-series; they will be the Avalon, MKZ and ES. This should be a hit, just like the Enclave.

Toyota paying big bucks for bad Tacos {Autoblog}

Apr 8th 2008 11:25AM As much as I dislike Toyota, no one can find fault with how they are handling this. Every automaker has quality problems but it is how they handle them that matters. Perhaps they are trying to make up for the whole sludge issue.

Anyways, reading the headline, I thought Toyota was getting sued for food poisoning on Taco Tuesday or something.

Production Kia Soul gets impromptu online reveal {Autoblog}

Mar 14th 2008 12:47PM I'm not sure why you think that the vehicle in the pictures is right hand drive, you can see the steering wheel on the left side. Also, if you go to the website there are pictures of an interior with the steering wheel on the left.

AFA ends Blue Oval boycott {Autoblog}

Mar 11th 2008 1:55PM It's business. Regardless of the opinion of your buyer, why wouldn't you want more sales? Simply because the AFA declared a boycott, I'm sure Ford lost sales.

All he is saying is that he wants Ford to do better and the boycott clearly stood in the way of that. John Neff is not a representative of Ford, he is a blogger. I am sure no one from Ford would say that they hate the AFA, they are just glad the boycott is over.

Geneva 2008: Bentley's future involves drawing straw {Autoblog}

Mar 4th 2008 5:40PM Considering a CVT doesn't even use gears, how in the world does it hold a candle to a manual transmission? Are you sure you aren't talking about a DSG-style transmission?

Those teens that do get their license prefer Mustang {Autoblog}

Mar 1st 2008 4:05AM I really hope you realize how times have changed since you were able to pay for your own insurance and buy your own cars. Insurance companies make boatloads of money off teenagers and charge even the responsible ones more than you could afford as a teenager.

Chicago 2008: Ford introduces Work Solutions in-dash computer package for F-150 [w/VIDEO] {Autoblog}

Feb 6th 2008 1:14AM Ford is really pulling out all the stops to remain the leader in this field. Hopefully, features like this and the new ones coming on the 2009 F-150 will help sales.

Without a seriously competitive engine, things like this are absolutely necessary. I know everyone says that 0-60 times and horsepower don't define a great truck, but truck buyers are typically guys who happen to love power and big engines. I'm a Ford guy so I really hope they can gain success.
