Sorry, your SUV is now worthless {Autoblog}

Apr 30th 2008 12:23PM You sir, are in the minority. You have a large truck, and use it as necessary, not on a daily basis, in order to overcompensate for a phallic definiciency like so many others out there who drive their trucks, and SUV's to show off. I commend you for driving vehicles that suit your needs at that particular time. I wish more people were like you.

Swapping Spirits: Audi V8-powered Lotus Esprit {Autoblog}

Apr 10th 2008 8:45AM After looking at the link to the page(s) of the build process, you can tell that the engine transplant was well executed, and not just a weekend hack job. Very well done.

"I Miss My EV1" {Autoblog Green}

Mar 27th 2008 9:28AM The EV1 was a great car, though a little too far ahead for its time. The range was too short, and while we only drive to and from work in many cases, we do need the flexibility to make errands, and side trips, which is often the case for many people after work, we're also living further away from work. There was not a sufficient charging infrastructure, while you could find places to charge, they weren't readily available. The car was also not production-ready. Many of them were built with parts which were made on an as needed basis, GM lost money on these cars, and to sell them would have put them out of the price range many people would have been willing to pay for a car of that type/size/etc.

Volkswagen Beetle police cruiser, the "bug-erceptor" {Autoblog}

Mar 25th 2008 4:14PM Police departments use confiscated vehicles to show the public what could happen to their vehicles if they are caught dealing, using, what have you. It's meant as a deterent. A good number of forfeited vehicles ARE auctioned off, while the higher profile ones make a bigger statement, especially when emblazoned with "THIS VEHICLE COURTESY OF YOUR LOCAL DRUG DEALER", or "DRUG FORFEITURE".

Spy Shots: Production Cadillac CTS Coupe spied! {Autoblog}

Feb 29th 2008 12:39PM I think this is one case where the sedan looks better than the coupe'. The coupe's C-Pillar slopes at an angle that is so far back, it doesn't look like there is a proper rear deck on the car.

Consumer Reports names Top Picks for 2008 {Autoblog}

Feb 28th 2008 3:08PM I've never known what to make of Consumer Reports. First off, it's written by neophytes, who aren't even auto enthusiasts, and the reviews are written as if they were done by the same people reviewing your washing machine, or refridgertator. No thanks, I'll stick to reviews by the car magazines, biased as they may be at times, they are accurate, and more in depth.
