Apr 24th 2008 12:06AM The issue with Peugeot and Porsche was only around the French market. However, at the time, France was one of (if not the) most important market for Porsche. As a result the model line was changed globally. So, in effect, we have the French to thank for the model designation of 911 :-)
Imagine the irony of the Germans having to worry about upsetting the French....

Apr 10th 2008 11:15AM Not a chance. The reason for their voting power is to protect the jobs and plants that currently exist in the state of Lower Saxony. I don't agree with the regulation at all, but the chance of Lower Saxony "selling off" is zero (unless of course Porsche contractually agrees to keeping jobs at a certain number and wage).

Excellent review. One of the best I've read, on any car, in a while. Admittedly I'm no Nissan fan, but you can't know the performance or your writing.

Mar 28th 2008 6:19PM I kind of thought when he said he "beat" the synchros, he was not trying to give himself credit for fast shifting. Instead, he was self depreciating and meant that he just pounded the crap out of them with his poor shifting. At least that was how I interpreted it.
