The MkV Jetta we have is leaps and bounds better than this POS! The MkV Jetta's front end looks great, it is the rear end that looks like a Corolla where the design falters. And the interior on our MkV Jetta can hold a candle up to an Audi A3/4. This interior couldn't hold a candle up to a Kia Accent. The reviewer is right when he states this car looks seriously dated and the interior isn't typical VeeDub.

Apr 14th 2008 2:35PM I was in Malibu this weekend and was surprised at how many 08 STS' I saw (driven by people under 50 nonetheless). While not as many as the number of 5-series of E-classes I saw, it is more STS' than I have seen in my area.

While I didn't see but one XLR, in Dallas they are fairly popular

Apr 9th 2008 2:39PM I really think that the poor fuel economy that you experienced in your test could be attributed to the automatic transmission.

I own a 2006 Jetta Value Edition, and over my 2.5 years of ownership I have returned nearly 27 mpg of mixed driving. My car has the 5 spd. Man. and I also feel the performance is better with the tranny. because I have driven one with an Auto. and it felt a lot more sluggish.

The worst I have ever gotten in my car is 23 mpg, and that was when the car was still being broken in. Best is 35 mpg, that was when travelling west across Wyoming.

The MKV Jetta, I believe is one of the best values on the road. For 17k, I bought mine and it has nearly everything standard (minus the leather and heated seats).

Apr 3rd 2008 3:13PM Two words:

TODD PACKER!!!!

How funny would that show be? I love it when Todd Packer is in an episode! Plus the actor who plays him (don't remember his name) was great in Anchorman. Todd Packer would be the best option, The Accountants sound lame. Andy Bernard might be interesting though.

Apr 3rd 2008 10:49AM While a lot people hate the styling of the E65. I have always liked it. It is in fact the car that started making me like BMW's. Before Bangle's styling, the cars while good looking, just weren't that exciting to me. Now I love all the current BMW lineup. I sure hope the new F01 7 series won't be as boring as this mule looks to be, or I can see a loss of sales for BMW. Because love the styling or hate the stying of the E65, it has been the best selling 7 series in history, I think because of its look at me styling.
