Spy Shots: Production BMW 135tii {Autoblog}

Jan 25th 2008 8:14PM All wrong. De-content the thing, get rid of all the electronic trickery and boy-race add-ons, drop 400 lbs, drop the twin turbos for an honest straight six, lighten the un-sprung weight on each corner, and make the thing a delight in the twisties and the 30-90 mph real world most of us live in. In other words, a simple, basic 2002tii but now with a lovely six.

Jan 9th 2008 12:30AM Anything for a buck, I guess, as long as it ends in some politico's back pocket. The Atacama is one of the world's driest areas and the eco-system it can support (mostly sub-surface) is one of the most delicate on earth. Very dumb to pummel it with 4x4's to prove that massive horsepower and mounds of money can conquer sand. The Wild West died ages ago, boys and girls, time to wake up.

REPORT: Ford to say "Tata" to Jaguar, Land Rover soon {Autoblog}

Dec 17th 2007 8:02AM Recipe for disaster: British world-class engineering (hah), brilliant (not) Lucas electronics, a million layers of India's infamous bureaucratic mentality, Italian business/marketing nonsense, and styling that's lost it's way.

Whatever progeny Tata derives from this grouping, it'll never be considered a true Jaguar. Sad, but 'Jaguar' is now just a meaningless label.
