Ford makes mid-year Super Duty changes to improve fuel economy {Autoblog}
Jan 2nd 2008 6:09PM My brother-in law bought a 2008 F350 and on a recent trip hauling 3 adults and a kid to NC he told me he looked down at the instant fuel economy and it was showing 8.5mpg going down the highway! I'm sure he would gladly take the taller gears and additional 1.5mpg, as he drives ~ 60,000 miles for year for his construction business.

Dec 19th 2007 6:17PM Awesome engineering work. While I have to admit Japanese cars are more my cup of tea, there is no denying this amazing feat of engineering. Kudos to GM for this one. As an American I want the Nationalistic pride that comes with knowing one's country builds the finest automobiles on the planet. I have never had that in my short lifetime, but this is a good step towards that.
Before I get grilled in the comments for being "unamerican" I'll add that in addition to my three Nissans and one Toyota I have one Lincoln, two Fords, one Chevy, one Mack, two International Harvesters, and over 300 semi-trailers made in the good ole' USA.

Ghosn hints at killing Nissan Titan {Autoblog}
Dec 16th 2007 12:23PM Well, I actually plopped down close to 40 grand for one when they debuted in 04 and I love it. It has spent close to 60k miles towing wakeboard boats, gravel, wood, car trailers, big-rig parts, and anything else I can throw at it. It is still a fantastic vehicle and ten times the truck most trucks are. The Titan is ahead of its time. Best steering, brakes, transmission, and engine in the market segment. Hands down. Stomp the gas on one and throw it into a curve and tell me you're not impressed. But where it really shines is towing 4000lbs of boat for hours without blinking.

Dec 14th 2007 1:27PM This would be perfect to roll my own software to control the air suspension and tire inflation system on a project I'm working on. Thanks, Autoblog. I read thee every day.
