May 1st 2008 2:24PM I already posted but im dumbfounded by this price point. There are so many better cars for a lot less money. Its time for Carrol Shelby and whoever ok'd this at Ford to retire.
Ill take my CTS-V if I want a supercharged V8 and get twice the car the Mustang is while saving money.

May 1st 2008 2:09PM No offense to anyone, but you have to be an idiot to pay 80k for a mustang.
It has 40 more hp, a couple different body parts, and different suspension tuning than a regular GT500 and costs almost twice as much. What kind of sense does that make?
I got an idea. Why not save a few thousand, buy a GTR or Z06 and actually have a real performance car!

Apr 30th 2008 5:41PM The car is actually faster than that. Ignore what they say and see what people are actually running with them. My best friends SRT-8 300 ran a 13.5 on his second time ever down a track (I was there). People have also broken into the 12's with the SRT-8 cars stock.

Its not part of a luxury package. Its just one of the options you can get. Autoblog just worded it wierd. Read the article. Its a $495 option. Last year it used to come in a performance package but you could get it seperately.
