Apr 25th 2008 12:40PM accord owners are stubbornly loyal, so many of them will continue to buy accords regardless of how they look. in the same way, camry owners mostly care about reliability and comfort, so they won't be swayed by the sportier mazda.

First Drive: 2009 Honda Pilot {Autoblog}
Apr 15th 2008 6:31PM @ shethj and rav3:
People will only buy a Pilot for the price? Think again. Bargain hunters will lean towards a Santa Fe or XL-7. Those who value SAFETY and RELIABILITY will consider the Pilot. Surely, there is nothing wrong with the brain that chooses a vehicle based on these criteria. Also, the Pilot will likely have a higher resale value than either the CX9 or GM crossovers in 5-6 years.
Remember, not everyone in North America is an auto enthusiast and cares about how much hp and torque their vehicle has. Many people just want a vehicle that can take them from point A to point B with minimal stress.
I'm not implying that the Pilot will be the sales champ in its class, but I'm sure it will see its share of buyers. Personally, I wouldn't buy any SUV/crossover.

Apr 15th 2008 8:38AM I find that the Pilot looks better in the high-res pics than it did in the spy shots from a few days ago; it comes off as a boxier (albeit somewhat blander) sibling of the MDX.
Obviously, the CX-9 and GM crossovers are much easier on the eyes, but the Pilot will still have its appeal with people who shop with their brain, and not with their eyes.
(I'm sure Honda will offer an alternative grill, just like it does with the current Pilot and Ridgeline)

Feb 24th 2008 3:33PM I guess this also means there's no Type-S model for the TSX?
I was really hoping for a TSX with a turbo engine and/or SH-AWD, but (unfortunately) it doesn't look like Acura will go in that direction.

Feb 22nd 2008 10:58PM I find it interesting that the actors in the ad are able to use the same 3-bar-grille prop for each of the vehicles they form. I think this ad unintentionally highlights Ford's over-use of this design motif in their vehicles. Nonetheless, the overall concept of the ad is pretty cool.
New York Preview: 2009 Acura TSX details surface {Autoblog}
Feb 13th 2008 8:50PM While this naturally-aspirated 2.4L package seems pretty competent, I hope Acura's planning a turbo Type-S version to rival the 6 cylinder offerings from its competitors. (V6 power somehow doesn't seem right in the TSX; save it for the TL)
Spy Shot: Euro Honda Accord Tourer snapped at pump {Autoblog}
Feb 9th 2008 12:40AM It's a shame that the new TSX will get a version of the RL's grille, instead of the cleaner (albeit conservative) one on the Euro Accord. I sure hope Acura will offer an alternative grille as an accessory.
