Jetta TDI buyers to get $1,300 back from the IRS {Autoblog}
Jul 24th 2008 11:40AM The EPA numbers can easily be beaten by anybody who drives intelligently. I have gotten as high as 37.6 in my 2007 Honda Accord 4 cyl/5 sp auto by doing that, and I am sure I could better that. I was not poking either. I did 65 - 70 with very light throttle applications, no a/c for the first 2/3'rds of the trip. I have had 3 VW diesels and exceeded mpg estimates on all of them.

Audi A1 not bound for U.S. shores {Autoblog}
Jul 13th 2008 11:47AM Right, BMW is having such a hard time selling Mini's. Give me a break. Those things would sell well. Could use a larger grill though. That one is so small.

May 16th 2008 2:36PM I have a 92 Festiva that I brought for $4995 in 96. In 12 years I have replace the catalytic converter bvecause it was rattling. It was still passing inspections. Replaced the emergency brake cable due to salty Ohio winters, replaced the left rear wheel bearing, and recently the engine/ac cooling fan. That's all in 12 years. It consistently gets 33-34 mpg city. As far as crashes, when did we become a nation of wooses. It's called defensive driving people.

Mar 24th 2008 7:49PM Judging from the large number of SUV's & Big Pickups that fly by me on the Interstate there aren't a lot of them that are concerned with saving money.
