May 16th 2008 1:27PM I don't see anything wrong with releasing gigahertz CPU's with Windows XP so long as they have decent HDD and decent RAM.

I have foreign students who can't afford laptops i'd recommend such as the HP DV series so its good to be getting options, even if they are the so called "race to the bottom"

May 16th 2008 8:11AM Normally, I would call you a mac fanboy but, considering this is about servers, I have to agree.

I just came back from Windows Server training IV and managing a Windows Server is a F*CKIN NIGHTMARE.

Apple's Tiger Server got me managing a server in less than 3 weeks - without reading any literature (just a few demonstrations). If I was setting up a server, it would have to be a Tiger Server.
Leopard Server is good but I don't like how Apple changed the Workgroup Manager - even though Remote Desktop works great.

If you were buying this mobile server the only way I see it being beneficial is if you are setting up LAN parties in different college dorms.

It weighs around 19 pounds from what I heard.

May 15th 2008 11:03AM Cellular Companies are charging users MORE for their data/voice per month than I am paying for voice/FIOS with Verizon.
I pay just $80 a month which should be about $100 when my area gets FIOS TV.
