Spy Shots: 2010 Chevy Cobalt {Autoblog}
May 8th 2008 11:11AM I as well had high hopes for this redesign, but from this shot I found, it appears - for the most part - we're in for more of the same. More of a slight evolution to include the Malibu grille than something all new.

VIDEO: smart fortwo crash test leaks out of IIHS {Autoblog}
Apr 29th 2008 3:32PM So the Siamese cat comment, the barrier is a good representation of hitting a stationary object that STAYS stationary (and dense) at impact. The cat doesn't qualify as it's not as dense as a car nor will it obstruct the forces of inertia to any great degree. Hitting a Aveo or an Excursion would have different results, mainly in the area of impact distribution (an Aveo would have more mass lower). Also, an Aveo would move more upon impact and therefore lessen the force of the crash. But they're they're both very solid and large objects, as is the barrier used in these tests.
Also - this test it's really a good indication of a collision of two cars at speed (front on). Just of one moving car hitting a stationary one.
First Drive: 2009 Hyundai Sonata - Korean bred, redesigned in America {Autoblog}
Apr 28th 2008 9:59PM I agree to an extent... Am I wrong in thinking their base models line up in price now, but the Hyundai's base contains a lot the Japanese models don't? I could be - I just thought I remembered seeing this somewhere.
I dunno - the Camry may be ahead in fit and finish and resale, but for the most part it seems very boring (and I find it a bit ugly). Unless you opt for an SE and the price tag that comes with it.

Apr 28th 2008 9:51PM Honda did that too with the last gen Accord. The tails looked ok first, and then they made them all red with the tiny reverse light and I thought it looked worse. And then the did they triangular tails and totally butchered it.
When Hyundai did this I kinda chuckled to myself, as the rear end had a heavy dose of Accord to begin with (although to their credit, I though the Sonata looked better).

Apr 25th 2008 9:36PM Opp - saved and zoomed in, they look more like traditional pieces. Just very detailled.

Apr 25th 2008 9:34PM Anyone know if these Illustrations are traditional works or digital? They kinda look like vector work...
If they are they're very impressive. I've been getting into doing some the last couple years - they're pretty time intensive. And these ones look very detailed.
