May 14th 2008 1:02PM Chrysler IS the quickest to market with products that people will actually buy (300, RAM). Problem is that a small-Chrysler car is still an unknown. Most people will agree the Neon, despite its initial problems, was a good little car - but not a great car. The name was also tarnished so bad that it will most likely never return. Hell, it could be a re-badged Civic or Corolla - but if named Neon people would say ''ew headgaskets, automatics''
They have to not only build a new car, but make it damn near perfect out of the gate. Right now, co-engineering/badge-engineering someone else's at least gets their foot in the door.

May 13th 2008 6:30PM The Freestyle / Taurus X was/is a good car. But it was too bloody expensive.
The Journey on the other hand starts at 20k CND. Thats pretty damn good, and even if you want the options, you can have pretty much every toy for under 30k.

May 13th 2008 3:39PM Lets be fair here, ALL American car companies have been unable to create a good small car. And why should they? The trucks and SUVs are a result of people buying them!! Why shouldn't they cater to those who line their pockets.
Having said that, they should have had a plan all along.
