Obama calls GM a "sobering reminder" of U.S. economy woes {Autoblog}
Jul 15th 2008 6:44PM You are right. THe first thing that shareholders have to do is get rid of current management especially wagoner. He has proved to be the most incompetent CEO. The merger with NISSAN could have saved GM.
Lexus cancels next-gen SC, Toyota cancels next Avalon {Autoblog}
Jul 12th 2008 11:43AM I have an 2005 Avalon, it is one of the best cars I have had, very quiet, powerful (260bhp) and unassuming. I prefer that to a lexus because it is less pretentious.
I hope they come up with a new one.
REPORT: Tata and Mahindra interested in HUMMER {Autoblog}
Jun 6th 2008 3:25PM The events that are taking place in the U.S auto industry are exactly the same that took place in the British Auto Industry. A lot of the domestic products such as Austin, Rover etc dissapeared eventually to appear as foreign owned.

This is supposed to be a blog where people behave in a civilized manner. From your comments on how many miles the camaro will give I can understand that you are a GENIUS.

Jun 5th 2008 6:36PM I have no interest in arguing with people who call others idiots and believe that the Camaro will give 27 mpg.
Rather than call others names you proved who you are.
Bob Lutz blogs about first drive in Volt mule {Autoblog}
Jun 5th 2008 6:33PM It would be a great day for GM, America and the thousands of auto workers if GM can get the volt right.

Jun 5th 2008 9:07AM Wagoner, the CEO of GM has stated that cars in the US will get smaller and they are closing down 3 Truck/SUV plants. To compete in this new world they have developed the Camaro (gas guzzler) and Chrysler the Charger.
Unless they are able to come up with smaller more fuel efficient cars that are also RELIABLE the future of the domestic auto industry looks very bleak.
Putting all the eggs in one basked (THE VOLT) may not be the smartest idea
CEO says Hyundai "green line more advanced than Prius" {Autoblog}
May 31st 2008 9:58AM It doesn't surprise me because the economy of the Prius has always been exaggerated. Toyota is not as great of a company that people think. They are just a fad that will go away. Now that GM and Ford is fully awake, Toyota will see what great technology is. Don't have to wait too long for this to happen because GM and Ford technology has already started to flow out.
Please continue dreaming. When you wake up you will come back to reality.
Toyota is alive and kicking. GM is on the ropes. If you want to wake up read some business journals such as Business week or websites such as MSN.

Apr 17th 2008 3:18PM It is interesting that there is a lot of hype regarding the GM hybrids, especially the Tahoe hybrid which gives more MPG than a toyota camry.
