Jun 17th 2009 5:55PM My girlfriend saw a picture of this car on the interwebs a couple of weeks ago and seriously thought that it was a modded S2000 with Ferrari emblems. While I don't think it's that bad...this thing just doesn't get my blood pumping the way Ferraris usually do. I just can't get behind it.

May 27th 2009 8:38PM Indeed...smooth some of those lines out and make those wheels realistic (way too big for rally). There are a few other changes I'd make, as well. But the near lack of a rear overhang, the amazing aerodynamics and the two-door design should definitely be the direction the STI is heading.

May 19th 2009 7:17PM Typically I'm not worried by things like this...but I have this reoccurring nightmare of a bitten-in-half-jelly bean-shaped Corvette with a wheezy hybrid engine and a 10 second-plus 0-60 time that costs $200,000. Maybe I'm crazy, but based on my experience with government-run projects, that's as high as my expectations get.

Regarding the weight issue...I'm guessing that the weight is actually beneficial as far as keeping the car planted in the sweeping turns. In as much as it is a hindrance in tight chicanes (where cars like the ZR1, the GT3, and the ACR are dominating) I think the 'Ring has more sweeping turns than tight ones. This is purely conjecture, but if I'm right...it would certainly explain a lot.

Apr 25th 2009 3:28PM It should also be noted that Seb is a straight-line driver. Throwing the back-end out isn't really his thing...that's for the Scandinavians. I'd say he did a pretty solid job here, considering his preferred driving style.
Rendered Speculation: Ferrari F142 taking shape {Autoblog}
Apr 21st 2009 6:50PM I have to be honest...I really don't want to see Ferrari's design team moving in the direction that the California went in, and that's what I'm seeing from this rendering. It's just such a generic looking sports car.
If everything Ferrari produces could take styling cues from the GTB, I would be very happy.

Apr 20th 2009 6:22PM It's not the rims for me...it's the perforated front grille and fender openings. Also, the angular wheel arches aren't really working. I feel like if those things were changed...it would be pretty nice to look at.
Although, I do have to mention that for a front engined car, that blindspot is absurdly huge.
