Knight Rider: The Liveblog - Season 1, Episode 1 {Autoblog}

Sep 26th 2008 2:08AM Girls are hot, but god, that show was sooo bad--I felt violated aftering hearing the annoying video game soundtrack, HD graphics (what no smog in LA or DC? and video screen look perfectly clear?), incredibly poor scripting/story, and the lead character looking like a pretty boy vs. the gritty Hof.

And I only watched 10mins worth by FF thru the whole thing.

FAIL!

Sep 26th 2008 1:50AM No Porsche, No GT500KR, No Aston Martin?

Oh, I forgot. This line up looks like it covers 3 demographics:
1. Spoiled Kids (JDM ricers)
2. 30 something yuppies (M3/S5)
3. Baby boomers (Vette, AMG, CTS, Challenger)

Basically, the non-car guys who have cash to blow.

At least they had a 430 and ACR--dream cars.

T-Mobile G1 first hands-on (updated) {Engadget}

Sep 23rd 2008 9:45PM Looks decent for the price, but the 2yr plan still kills it.

I'm here working on my freerunner and hope to have wifi-skype, and my USB-3G modem working. Only if the freerunner had 3G it would be a killer phone (2 accelom's, GPS, VGA, smaller like an iphone, all plastic). Another problem is the freerunner is not close to mature yet (maybe 6mos from now)...

Obama a Prius? Palin a Camaro? Politics get revved up {Autoblog}

Sep 9th 2008 2:47AM Of course, none of these candidates are All-American. What is all American? It is:

Apple pie
and a...
Mustang.

First HUMMER, now Prius: Hybrids targeted by vandals, too {Autoblog}

Sep 7th 2008 1:47PM Destroying a hybrid is just stupid.

Look at all those reusable parts for the black market. I mean the electronics alone would salvage a good buck.

These cars are built "modularly", with fair common off the shelf components. A lot of the stuff in a Prius can be used for something else. A Li battery would be worth thousands on the market... I'd be stripping those vs. burning them.

Sep 4th 2008 1:57AM Wow, it's 'Fastlane' but:
a. with a hotter asian chic
b. thank god not bill bellamy or that other stupid dude.

Nice mixing live video (with a filter) and graphics--kind of like the Cyberia video game back in 1994. Of course with updated h/w.

Tension off-camera? Top Gear pay dustup rumored {Autoblog}

Jul 6th 2008 8:02PM Hamster looks chessy with the new hairdo since his crash.

Though May does attract the non-gearhead crowd, he's uninteresting as a personality. His departure will be no loss to the show.

Does car color correlate with personal confidence? {Autoblog}

May 14th 2008 10:47PM Black makes sense on where it is.

When it's clean and shiny--it's the best. HANDS DOWN.
When it's dirty, it looks crap and it shows all flaws.

Unless you wash it everyday, black is dirty 98% of the time.

Green makes sense too:
Green is unassuming and blends with everything, unassuming, no expectation...

Also, wasn't it that green cars is the color most involved in accidents? Could above average == over confident?

2011 twin-turbo'd BMW M5 to produce 550 hp {Autoblog}

May 8th 2008 10:36AM The world is on fire.

I remember BMW touting how great its M-series was BECAUSE they were the only N/A engine game in town. What a sales pitch.

Now because the competition's all turboed (AMG, 911, AM, RS4/5/6, all the Asian offerings) or S/C-ed (US, except for Vipers), BMW can't follow their original philosophy anymore due to sales and being part of the crowd... this is not sole because of emissions!

For the amount of work to add a low pressure turbo(s) and increasing displacement to gain what? 40 FWHP, I'd rather have them keep the 9000 rpms, and just add a shot of Nitrous from a 'factory-made' system instead.
