May 8th 2008 9:12AM britinknee, I don't think a performance truck is a great idea right now. But, calm down. Who are you to tell someone what is right and wrong. Some people think they are saving the world because they drive a Prius but they live 60+ miles from their job. Someone else might drive a truck that get 15 mpg but only lives 10 miles from their job. Who is greener? There is a lot more to "saving the planet" than what kind of car you drive.

May 5th 2008 1:11PM I don't think the 18cent gas tax will make or break the average household. But the 24cent tax on diesel could help out some small trucking firms. It could also help slow down the increasing price of consumer goods due to transportation pricing going up. Where I work, I see some freight bills were the fuel surcharge is 30 to 40 percent of the freight charge.
