VIDEO: Nissan GT-R vs BMW M3 vs Porsche 911 GT3 {Autoblog}

Feb 25th 2008 6:38PM I think the comment about different cars for different people. Different strokes for different folks. I guess it’s what your idea of a fun driving experience is.
911 GT3 is a raw machine that doesn’t respond well to driver error and takes a high level of mastery.

The BMW is a classy car that trades raw performance for luxury, but does both very well.

The GT-R is a car that makes some great decisions for you such as shift point and traction. It can make a sub-par driver look really good through consistency.

Toyota earns first ever NASCAR win {Autoblog}

Feb 15th 2008 4:30PM The France Family was toying with more money saving ideas for the car owners including having only one or two engine builders. Most cars use the same brake and suspension package not to mentions the body having to match the template. We aren’t very far from a total spec series down to the lugnuts.

For those who enjoy the driver and crew more than the hardware NASCAR is perfect. I personally never did like NASCAR IROC series.

It’s pretty funny when they say the “Ford Fusion” driven by xx won the race. They should say the Ford Fusion sponsored card with no technical connection to the namesake.

2008 Tokyo Auto Salon: Mugen Type-RR Experimental Spec {Autoblog}

Jan 18th 2008 10:29AM This car is geared for the Hot Import Nights demographic, in that respect it knocks that out of the park.

Personally I get the same queasy feeling seeing a nice vet ruined with corvette summer body kit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Corvettesummer.jpg

ALMS or DTM? More images of Lexus IS-F racer surface {Autoblog}

Jan 8th 2008 12:05PM Since the cars are identical it just takes a Lexus vinyl sticker to complete the translation to NASCAR. I think Rouche(sp?) will end up making all the motors before its said and done. I want stock cars that only bolt in a roll cage and that’s it. Real headlights and all.. lol

I wish Toyota and Nissan would compete in ALMS but that will never happen. The factory teams would clean their clocks.

In NASCAR Toyota has the advantage they don’t compete on technology (the all run the same car) they just need to get experienced drivers and crew for a win.

Toyota vows victory in NASCAR this season {Autoblog}

Jan 2nd 2008 2:32PM Well Toyota is aiming directly at the truck market with a big sticker on the tundra’s here in Texas that reads, “Built by Texans for Texans”.

I haven’t’ liked NASCAR much since they turned it into an IROC completion (about 20 years ago or more). I want to see manufacturer against manufacture not driver against driver. It looks like F1 is going the same direction limiting technology =(.

Bring back the real stock cars and I will tune in!

Corvette C6.R returning to ALMS in 2008 {Autoblog}

Dec 14th 2007 11:28AM At least private teams will run the Vette in GT2 ALMS next year alsong side the Vipers and Ford GTs. GT2 will be a blast to watch.

The sounds of the Vett and Panoz are worth the price of a ticket alone. The C6R screaming down the straights will give you a cold chill.

I love watching the LeMans GT1 action with Lambo and McLaren thrown in with the Vetts and Aston.

Alfa Romeo to open new plant in US {Autoblog}

Dec 12th 2007 10:39AM Good to hear, I have always loved Alfa Romeo styling.

If they can get build quality up to 21st century standards they should be competitive.
