Nissan GT-R V-Spec lap times stun observers {Autoblog}
Apr 8th 2008 8:58PM I am kind of getting bored of this car.
I mean no disrespect to it, it is faster than stink and for not too bad of a price. I guess just seeing it multiple times on autoblog daily and on the cover of every auto mag i have just gotten a case of gtr overload.
Spy Shots: Camaro SS finally gets busy on the 'Ring {Autoblog}
Apr 8th 2008 3:35PM One thing i just noticed in the pics...arent the front calipers on most cars positioned towards the front? the camaro has the caliper on the back part of the rotor, why the difference in placement, anyone know?
New York '08 Preview: More Hyundai Genesis Coupe pics come online {Autoblog}
Mar 17th 2008 1:01PM I do have to agree that the front end is a little interesting. i like that the front is low and sleek, looks areodynamic. but the grill is too small or something, just doenst look completely right.
over all, the car is very intriguing. i have always had a thing for the 350z, and have thought of getting one when done with my bachlors, but this may be an alternative.
does anyone have any info as to the size of this thing? sometimes it looks not much bigger than the tiburon, and then sometimes it looks similar in size to the gto. i had a gto for a while and it was a little to big and long for my likings. hopefully this thing isnt too much bigger than a 350

Chevy Camaro to be a 2010 model, not 2009 {Autoblog}
Mar 12th 2008 4:21PM I agree for the most part.
I just think its hard as enhusiasts to wait almost two years for something. You are just happy to hear they are building something that you want when they first announce it that you dont really think about the 2 year wait (or dont think it will be that bad). However, while in the mean time, other exciting cars start coming out (challenger, 335i, other high performance cars etc...) the 2 year holding pattern becomes harder to deal with.
Chevy Camaro to be a 2010 model, not 2009 {Autoblog}
Mar 12th 2008 4:08PM Damn, and here i was thinking that dodge hyped the challenger way too early and took a little too long to bring it to production...
almost seems snappy considering how long we have been hearing "the camaro is coming" from chevy...and its still a year away.
oh well, i actually do hope it does well
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue releases official track and car list, new features {Autoblog}
Mar 10th 2008 2:05PM that is the biggest problem i had with the GT series, especially when i got an xbox and started doing the forza thing. while GT took the cake when it came to over all look and realism feel, it just all went away when you could go into a wall at 80mph and not dent the car or anything.
The first GT's had damage, why did the do away with it?
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue releases official track and car list, new features {Autoblog}
Mar 10th 2008 1:49PM Since i do not have a playstation anymore, i havent really kept up the the whole gran turismo deal. is this prologue just a preview of the whole new GT5 game, or is the prologue the actual complete game?
i can understand the lack of cars if it is just a preview type thing of whats to come, can someone inform me?
Pics Aplenty: 2008 Chevy Cobalt SS Coupe beauty shots {Autoblog}
Mar 7th 2008 5:33PM I agree with you that the base model cobalts arent all that great, i drive one, so i have the experience. they arent as horrible as you make them out to be, but they arent anything to write home about.
I dont really care about the base versions of things, i am an performance auto enthusiast, so i only get excited about these cars when they get hopped up.
I give props to hyundai and kia for stepping up their quality of cars, they are giving domestics and other imports a run for their money.
i think if the malibu effect trickles down to the cobalt and causes chevy to take the compact car segment seriously, the cobalt will be much improved.
my main interest when it comes to the car of this thread, and competitors, is the performance. the fact that a base kia or hyundia "out classes" the cobalt (even though it is commendable) doesnt really interest me at all.... that is until they come out with a 260hp kia or hyundai in the low 20's
I think we agree more than we disagree, just try to keep the comparisons to apples to apples, not apples to oranges

Mar 7th 2008 3:40PM I would also take an evo or sti before this car.....if that pesky $15k price difference didnt get in the way.
The interiors of the new sti's and evo's are an improvement over the last generation, but they still are not all that great for $35k+.
It is also doing you no good to complain about the handling of this SS car due to the fact that you drove a NORMAL cobalt for a couple of weeks.
I drive a cobalt lt, its getting me thru college, and i agree, it doenst handle all that well if you want performance handling. I, however, have driven the first generation SS and its handling was very good, night and day when compared to a normal cobalt. I would imagine the new ss would have the same, if not better, suspension set up as the last ss.
People on this site need to get a healthy dose of perspective. This car is not meant to do battle with evos and sti's, cars that are at least $10k more. This car is ment to do battle with the other fast FWD econo boxes. Yea it has some cut corners, as do all of its competitors. Stop expecting BMW quality on a Honda civic budget
