Dec 3rd 2007 1:26PM a new retro Cougar based off the Mustang, but with an IRS and better interior fit & finish (to justify the higher price) would be awesome! given the sales of the Mustang and all of the special editions they keep releasing, it doesn't make sense why they wouldn't try this... unless they really are gonna kill Mercury.

Nov 30th 2007 8:58AM this find is sad in a way because it reminds us of when Ford used to make fun, interesting cars. after owning a '95 SHO, '00 SVT Contour, and now a '04 SVT Focus I've gotten used to fun, affordable, practical vehicles... Ford hasn't left people like me any options (unless you count the Mazdaspeed3) for new vehicles.

Oct 9th 2007 1:14PM GM is really turning its brands around... a few years ago I would have never considered a Pontiac or Saturn as something I'd want to drive! We'll have to see what kinda guts this 'GT' gets... the styling is much better than the previous one.

Oct 8th 2007 4:48PM I think the new Taurus is a much better car than most people give it credit for... it seems to be much better than the 500 was. Ford should have kept the Taurus name instead of introducing it as the 500.
And yes, it is a big, heavy car... perfect for the older buyers. Maybe Ford should limit the sales of the Crown Vic to fleets (police/taxi), so that more of the older buyers would be forced into the superior Taurus.

Oct 4th 2007 2:44PM Ha! Ford can't even get their own press release right... the V6's are mated to a 6 speed auto, not a 5 speed!
At least this package isn't just for looks... a hotter version would be appreciated though. ( SVT, Yamaha, anybody?)
Other than the lack of a manual with the V6 and the bland color palette for '08, I like the Fusions...
