Volt SS? Chevrolet considering turbocharged 1.4-liter for Volt {Autoblog}
Jul 22nd 2008 2:10PM G-Meister, that's exactly what Subaru did with their Turbo Parallel Hybrid concept. Miller-cycle 2.0T with an electric motor to provide assistance in the low end. It ended up with great (for a Subaru) city and highway mileage, while still maintaining power and torque figures similar to the current 2.5T's (although the peak torque was shifted up in the band due to the miller cycle, the electric motor would surely provide enough kick in the extreme low end.
2009 Subaru Impreza WRX gets upgraded to 265 hp {Autoblog}
Jul 18th 2008 10:11AM I would, but it was abused by the previous owner, has had poor luck with factory defects, and has tried to fall apart numerous times in my ownership. I ultimately stuck with it when I left my apartment one day and it was sitting under some orange parking lot lights and it just looked really awesome, but that will only work so many times. It will definitely be a sad day when it goes away, but assuredly, it will happen.

May 12th 2008 3:23PM It would actually be an F-135 if it is really 9/10ths of an F-150. There could be cross-marketing opportunities with Pratt & Whitney which make the F-135 jet engine used in the X-35/F-35.

May 8th 2008 12:35PM From the look of it, they are just signs that are cut into squares and then stamped with an indentation... you could make these yourself for the cost of time stealing a road sign and a sledgehammer to add the indentation.

Congressional staffers told to get vaccinated prior to NASCAR races {Autoblog}
Oct 11th 2007 1:55PM I always pack a bottle of antibacterial hand sanitizer and a paper seat cover (for the stands) when I go to NASCAR races. I don't see what's wrong with asking important people to get vaccinated before going.
UAW strike against Chrysler begins {Autoblog}
Oct 10th 2007 2:10PM I kind of hope Cerberus is willing to let the UAW strike for a while. Offer them something that Chrysler can reasonably afford while not unreasonable for the UAW to accept, and then just let them throw their tantrum and strike until they realize they aren't getting anywhere.
