Dec 14th 2008 6:15PM I live in Canada and am FAR from a socialist. You Americans have spent 700 BILLION $$$$ ( money you don't have ) bailing out your banks and for what ... as you still are in a "BIG" mess ... so don't rag on us. Look in your back yard before you criticize others. Regarding the car manufacturers, If you and your Gov't had it together it would tell the UAW and that wannabe CEO @ GM to take a hike. In fact .... you should ask our Prime Minister Harper for some advice. Preferably before you make a mess ( bigger mess) of things.

As usual .... just trying to help our unfortunate neighbours.

And for the record ... Mulally is the only one that has it together. Billy Ford did the right thing when they hired him. GM should deep six those 2 bozos running that mismanaged excuse for a company. The gall of the guy to sit in front of the US Gov't and say the problem is an economic problem and not a management problem. I would have called him a corporate welfare bum and showed him the door. At least the second time around he got his head out of the sand ... somewhat. The union also needs to get their head out of the sandbox but thats another story. Unions do nothing but protect inefficiency. With the labour laws we have today ... Unions are like a dinasaur.
