North America Ford Fiesta rumored to come in under $15k {Autoblog}

May 21st 2008 11:51AM I'm asking them to not try and maintain their current "design Language" because the european cars look and perform so much better than the watered down crap that we get. The big selling point for the Focus here is that its a 4 wheeled MP3 player and it gets 35mpg. Great, so its a moderately fuel efficient stereo...wow. Have you looked at the euro focus and mondeo's? They look great! They drive great! Whats so hard about bringing them over here like that? They can't say retooling. They make right and left hand drives of everything, so its the usual, US guages and what not. Nothing too wierd. That and why don't we have a Focus Hatch anymore?

North America Ford Fiesta rumored to come in under $15k {Autoblog}

May 21st 2008 10:18AM Considering how well liked this car is across the pond, then if it returns a real world 39+mpg and is still got enough pep to get out of its own way, I'd gladly consider it. Again, FORD if you're reading any of these comments, DO NOT PUT YOUR UGLY ASS NORTH AMERICAN GRILL ON THIS CAR! I guarantee they'd sell twice the number of Focus' if they were on the Euro platform and with out that damned grill.

Official EPA numbers posted for the '09 Jetta TDI - 30/41mpg {Autoblog}

May 21st 2008 10:03AM Agreed. Much rather drive something that LOOKS and FEELS like a real car, than a tin can on wheels, that looks like crap and has HUGE Smug emissions.

May 21st 2008 9:41AM "..According to VW spokesman Keith Price Volkswagen's diesels typically do better in real world mileage than the EPA sticker values...." Actually this statement is probably true for this car, as the last generation tdi's tended to hit mid 50's on the highway for mpg so it wouldn't be surprising to see the new (and heavier) cars hit high 40's on the highway and mid to high 30's in town. maybe even low 40's if you're really good.

Top Gear season 11: More races, more hijinks, more Sabine and a new character {Autoblog}

May 20th 2008 3:44PM YAY! A reason to fire up Bittorr...I mean to watch t.v. again... Anyone else pissed off at the amount of material removed from Top Gear on BBC America? Seriously, its pathetic.

Ford to make fewer Volvos, possibly in prep for sale {Autoblog}

May 20th 2008 3:35PM My poor beloved brick building company from Sweden. Ford bought you and for a long time didn't do anything to you...eventually gave you the Focus platform for the S40...a good move, but from there it has been sad. They refuse to put money into you, they don't really want to sell you because you'll compete with some of their products, and they have stolen all of your safety systems and technology because you are one of the best. Now, they want to scale back production and sell you off. I'm sad. I just hope I have a chance to buy a C30 before the sale.

Pics Aplenty: Audi A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro {Autoblog}

May 20th 2008 3:29PM Yet another performance oriented diesel we'll likely never see here. Sad.

Alfa building super-limited Spider Mille Miglia edition {Autoblog}

May 16th 2008 11:50AM Yes please! I still have 2 viable kidneys, so I'm sure I could sell one of those, maybe father a bastard child to sell into slavery and easily have money left over for gas after buying one...too bad we don't get Alfa here in the states just yet.

Tragedy at LeMons: Send love and a little bit more {Autoblog}

May 13th 2008 1:29PM Rarely do I read stories and have my heart sink, but when I first read about a racer dying at LeMons it did. Its sad that someone lost their life during this event, no matter the circumstances.

To his wife and family, my most sincere condolences.

To you Mr. Summerfield, Cheers. You're going through those pearly gates in style.

May 9th 2008 8:05AM My one plea to our less than functional congress... BREAK the UAW for the sake of domestic production. Save jobs for REAL.
