BREAKING: STRIKE OVER! GM, UAW reach tentative deal {Autoblog}

Sep 26th 2007 8:14AM Awesome... now get back to work and be grateful you still have a job with king kong bennys... And while you're at it... if you see a UAW brother slacking... kick him in the butt and make sure he/she knows how lucky they are to have a great gig...

Maybe Detroit will keep automotive here for another decade.

Sep 25th 2007 5:43PM You really should research the facts... rather than follow your union goons like sheeple. Bush 1 didn't sign NAFTA... your lefty Clinton did. All the jobs rushing to Mexico and China started waaaay before Bush 2 came around.

No one said "all" union workers were lazy, but the union does cater to those that chose not to work... I've got first hand knowledge of abuses.

Also keep in mind... it takes five minutes to train a guy to screw lug nuts on a car, or tighten door bolts etc... More goes into training a McDonalds burger flipper or a tire changer at sears than most union guys could handle, but they don't make $ 60k/year, nor do they complain because they don't have health care or a retirement (that 90% of Americans either don't have or can't afford).

Suck it up and get back to work... if not, I hope there is some hungry scab that takes over your job and salvages his mortgage... and you take his place.

Ingrates... all of you.

Sep 24th 2007 5:24PM Puhleeeze. Somebody tell the muckity mucks at the UAW to pull their heads out... this town is in a recession and all they can come up with is a strike. You stupid bastards.

The big three (or two) won't be the big anything if you money grubbing retards don't stop and realize that a janitor isn't worth $ 60K/year and a full pension.

I hope they all join the ranks of the unemployed soon, and the thousands of unemployed people in this town take their jobs because they actually want to pay their mortgages.

Get a grip !!!
