T-Mobile G1 first hands-on (updated) {Engadget}
Sep 23rd 2008 11:03AM The OS looks promising although i'll wait to hold off judgment until I see it in person or see some more in depth reviews. Seems like the music service with Amazon has the big major flaw that apple has, in that you can't download songs over 3G. Seriously, 3G is fast enough for that, might take a little time but I can wait, just give me the option!! Also I know a lot of people agree and some might disagree but seriously what is wrong with the look of this device, it looks like a kindergartner put it together. It looks SUPER cheap and all the buttons look like they came off a winmo device from 4 years ago. HTC has some awesome products it seems this one got rushed out the door. Just look at the Touch HD, that is the best device I have ever seen them produce... My 8525 looks better then the G1 even. Would have also liked to have seen a higher res screen. Maybe the G2 will be a worthy contender.
iPhone firmware 2.0.2 is out... and angry {Engadget}
Aug 18th 2008 5:24PM I also hope this fixes what 2.0.1 was supposed to fix, namely slow text input!!!
Top Gear USA hosts announced! {Autoblog}
Jun 16th 2008 12:27PM I think you misunderstand what the show is supposed to be about. Its not to review cars like Motorweek or Autoweek or SPEED's Test Drive. Its to let ordinary people see all those crazy cars we know we will never be able to drive, driven like we wish would could drive them :) It's pure entertainment at its finest, which millions of people LOVE. I don't want to see a review of a Hyundai Elantra vs a Ford Focus, I want to see a Elantra crash into a Focus head on and see which one survives better!!

Jun 16th 2008 12:11PM It has potential I think, as long as its not tied down and they can bash everything and anything they want just like on the BBC show. As long as it doesn't turn into some Nascar/American muscle car loving show I will be giving it a chance :)

Jun 2nd 2008 12:15PM Biggest waste of time and money on GM's part :( Really should focus on better looking, better economic cars. This thing just should be taken out back and shot and forgotten :)
BMW to add further features, complications, to iDrive {Autoblog}
Jun 1st 2008 11:03PM I really don't see why people keep bashing the idrive. I wonder how many of the columnists actually own a bmw vs just use it for 20 seconds. Its like a mini computer it has a little learning curve. Once you learn it though you find that it really is fairly easy to use. I really wish people would stop bashing it unless they have used it more then a few minutes.
How would you change Canon's Rebel XSi? {Engadget}
May 23rd 2008 6:45PM I got one of these about 2 weeks ago, I have been extremely impressed with the speed and image quality of this camera. Taking some amazing shots. The Auto-Focus could be a little better faster/accurate but other then that I am pretty happy. Of course their will be lots of live view comments but I find it to be more of a novelty then anything else, its way easier using the view finder for 99% of your shots. I also love how it uses SD cards instead of the out dated compact flash cards. I enjoy this camera so much I actually went out and bought a lens that cost more then the camera itself :)

Mar 27th 2008 5:52PM Sounds perfectly fair to me, it should always be this way.

Feb 29th 2008 9:52PM I'm sorry Ben you are actually the one that is wrong. Here is your proof.
Malibu, http://images.motortrend.com/features/auto_news/2007/112_0711_05z+2008_chevrolet_malibu+interior_view.jpg
Corvette,

Notice they are the same, the Malibu is actually a little better, has a couple buttons, but they are in fact 99% the same part, look where the emblem is, just a different logo on the same center section.
Sorry to prove you wrong.

Feb 29th 2008 3:35PM Here is one thing I do know, the Chevy Malibu and the Chevy Corvette use the same steering wheel. That's like putting the Nissan Altima's steering wheel on the Nissan Skyline GT-R. You think GM could have come up with a nicer wheel for the best car made in America. Just proves that American car companies still have work to do in order to catch up to the rest of the world.
