Just say No: Nissan GT-R convertible {Autoblog}

Jul 24th 2008 2:34PM @cheezwiz: between ZR1 and GT-R, there is a difference of $40K. And a 3 or 4 second diference. Put 40K on top of the GTR and it will gain more than 4 seconds. Love the ZR1 but it should cost 30K less for me to like it more than the GTR.

Now cobalt ss costs 40K less than the GT-R but is that much slower. So "slow" (in "" cause in it's segment it is fast!) that i would pay 40k for the gap between the ss and gtr.

On another side of things the ss is a special edition as it is the ZR1, the GT-R is "stock".

Jul 24th 2008 2:11PM with all due respect and afection: cause in this case 3 or 4 seconds dont cost $40000 (that is forty thousand) dollars.

Dont convert the GT-R!!! that is what infinity is for.

NOPI cancels all drag, drift and car show events for remainder of 2008 {Autoblog}

Jul 17th 2008 7:13PM you are the stupid one. i already go were i get what i want: I go to the track. machines that are built to perform and do what cars do: accelerate, decelerate and turn. a couple of weeks ago i went to waterford hills in michigan and there was only one guy with lambo doors on a civic. he was cool and im pretty sure he'll be smart enough to get rid of them. the rest? all performance.
want music? get an ipod or go to a club, want girls? get some balls.

besides you talk about dates like you just got it out of wikipedia!!! performance import tunning started in 03??? what has people been doing before with their "imports"??? a magazine, for example, SPORT COMPACT CAR started in 1988, super street in 1996. they have been tuning cars since then and you say it all started January 1st 2003?!

you say "Import tuning since 03 has been about clean lines, functonality, looking stock, and recently VIP tuning."

let ME "enlighten you":
"clean lines" means you dont get track debri beating on your paint or body, "functionality" is a dailydriver/trackslut, "looking stock" is a sleeper and "VIP tuning" comes is the form of golden plated springs,wheels, etc etc.

so go ahead and follow the trend that started in 03. the people that have been arround before "tags", "crews" and the all needed stereotype of "tuners", will still have open track days, but you just lost the nopi shows for the rest of the year.

NOPI cancels all drag, drift and car show events for remainder of 2008 {Autoblog}

Jul 17th 2008 11:20AM 90 % of people that go to nopi nationals is people who: buy streetglo and "carbon fiber" shift knobs, make a car "faster" and then put 100lbs of stereo balast, get cars for girls, have no cars and go for the girls, baught floormats so they can go for the girls, etc, etc...
the other 10 %: awards, publicity, applyed performance and racing.

what im saying is that any form of love for cars is respectable and should be celebrated... but i just wont miss this event.

VIDEO: Garage419 split-screens the ZR-1 and GT-R 'Ring laps {Autoblog}

Jul 12th 2008 8:10AM HAHAHA!!! keep on trucking!!!...nobody is even talking about the fact that, even though 3 seconds is a "large" gap, the ZR1 is a 7L...
for those who dont know, it would have to go against not only the V-spec but a "two-engined" V-spec. American "muscle" is all about wasted energy and money. There are two cars built to race, one cost more, has double the engine displacement (on this world wide energy crisis), weights less, etc etc...3 seconds start to feel a little insignificant dont you think?

also, dont hate on people who like cars and play games cause we acctually got to understand how to use a PC (or MAC ^_^) for more than to dwnload girls gone wild ok?

+1 to "I take it you've never watched a ALMS, rolex, or SCCA race before. Never mind F1 or even CART."

VIDEO: Three minutes of NSX goodness {Autoblog}

Jun 30th 2008 1:29PM i just think the body is too "fat" compares to the more narrow lines of the old NSX. It looks more like an Alfa...or something more european.
