The superdelagates shouldn't stand behind any candidate until the people have had their say via caucuses or primaries. After that, the superdelagates can cast their support to whomever they choose. If they don't think the popular vote is for the best candidate, they can support someone else. The candidates court the superdelagates, hoping it will influence the popular vote.
Stanford students think PANDA is the answer to silent EVs/hybrids {Autoblog Green}

This or That: 1000 miles of travel: Plane, train, or automobile? {Green Daily}
May 29th 2008 11:15AM Unfortunately, the Detroit area doesn't have a rail system serving its suburbs; buses are rarely more than a quarter full, and car pooling - well, you might as well suggest magic carpets for the response you'd get around here.

High Schoolers Create Car That Gets 1,693 Miles-Per-Gallon {Switched.com}
Mar 25th 2008 12:10PM Sctommy & Cecil - You do realize these vehicles are "cars" in name only - They have no safety structure, no storage space, no towing/cargo capacity, no a/c, no fm radio, no lights, no suspension. Essentially, these are ultra-lightweight go-carts with aerodynamic coverings. If we were willing to do without all the electronic do-dads and fancy interiors and off-road ability, we could easily double the fuel economy. But that ain't going to happen.
Vigilantes Use Online Sex Offender Map to Burn Down Wrong House {Switched.com}
Feb 6th 2008 11:51AM willbgone - Why stop at sex offenders? (Which includes underage [both partners], consensual sex from over 20 years ago)
Why not provide a list of people convicted of other crimes such as:
Manslaughter?
Assault & Battery?
Arson?
Animal Cruelty?
DUI/DWI?
Speeding?
Where do we stop? I wouldn't particularly choose anyone convicted of these offenses to live near me, but after they serve their time, they should have as much freedom as you or I.
Why don't we just put a sign on our front lawn describing everything we've done wrong? Wait, how will we know who's who when we're away from home? How about a sign to wear? No, might be difficult to read. How about a symbol? Like a star or something sewn on your clothes? Now we're getting somewhere!!
Circuit City Shopper Cuffed for Refusing to Show Receipt {Switched.com}
Sep 5th 2007 12:58PM Fact: It *is not* illegal to refuse to show your receipt or allow a store employee to search your bag after your purchase.
Fact: It *is* illegal to refuse to show a policeman your identification when requested, *for any reason*.
What's the harm in letting security search your store bag if you haven't done anything wrong, you ask? Where do we stop? Should they be allowed to search your purse or other bags? Should they be allowed to search your coat or pockets? Should they be allowed to search your car (since it is on their property)?
It's simply cheaper and easier for the stores to do this rather than letting their security actually patrol the store.
