Jul 3rd 2006 6:04PM Kudos to your comment about the paddle shift buttons.. They are infact buttons with little flaps of plastic to act as a "paddle" They do not feel like they are sturdy, and for me they were a clear let-down.

Additionally they may be harder to use than a manumatic stick. I imagine they can be tough to keep track of when you're putting some lock on the steering wheel.

Formula 1: Super Aguri bench Yuji Ide {Autoblog}

May 4th 2006 9:59PM I think the media has a facination with picking on japanese drivers. I remember last season how everyone was giving Sato a hard time because of his mistakes.

Ide may need more seat time, but let's face it even if he's close to Sato's pace he's still going to be dead last or second to last. The car is just not competetive.

Nissan revises down Versa fuel economy {Autoblog}

Apr 9th 2006 7:26PM just wanted to toss in my 2 cents.

New cars are getting heavier not only because of size and ameneties, but there have been quantum leaps in safety over the past 15 years. As well as significant increase in chassis stiffness, all of which are all bound to add on weight.

Let's not forget too, performance and displacement are increasing pretty much across the board while car manufacturers have taken huge steps with emissions. More restrictive exhausts and cats sap power, forcing increases in displacement.
