Spotted in the wild: 2009 Lincoln MKS in Ann Arbor {Autoblog}
May 23rd 2008 9:02PM overall the car looks very good. still i think it has 2 serious flaws(linked):
1- the front overhang is too long(because)
2-it was the wrong wheels driven (for a car of this category)
in this class is a must to a car to have the right proportions(a short front overhang) even if they aren´t rwd(1990´s acura legend as an example)

Jan 30th 2008 11:05PM at least good news of one of my favorite brands. I hope tata to not destroy this legend. i personally think jag need to focus now on 2 cars for growing up in this tough moment(since it was sold to BL, ford cared a little giving quality and reliability but not good product). the first one would be a new x type but with another name, it is too costly to make a new platform so why not (please no hate replies) to adapt an irs to the mustang platform and give it to jaguar, it would be crazy for purists but it would be very economical and easy to tune if the x type rides on a modified mustang platform.
The second one would be an E-type inspired boxster fighter as i'm reading here. but please not an E-type copy. it would be great if the jaguar designers design this sportscar based on aerodynamics and keepin it beautiful. this segment needs real beauty.
i know the first one is a crazy idea but it can work

Jan 21st 2008 12:01AM they bother because as rallies, endurance racing is real racing, not an family disney-type equality story giving more importance to the sponsors(nascar), nor an inflated ego-and-glamour overrated (F1) form and motorsport, where engineering skills matter more than sponsorship. also they are a good laborary for testing new technologies for future production cars, not dinosaurs and useless stuff that nascar and f1 use

Jan 7th 2008 12:52AM this idea sounds great, but ( I hate to say but), 8 cylinders always, always will have better panache than v6s in luxury cars, maybe an I6 but not an v6, no matter how great they are(only exception Nissan GT-R). Of course, it will be excellent in an explorer but not in an lincoln nor in a high level mustang(except for the GNX, muscle car=v8).
It doesn't mean that i hate v6s( I love alfa and nissan v6s) but in a high end luxury car( what is aspiring lincoln). or in a muscle car(Mustang gt), a v8 is the best option.
the best option i think that it would be to add DI and a turbo to a V8 and you can have high, really high power having good economy(torque is all). Of course you can have the v6s there but never ever kill the v8. its an american trademark
