Car Buyers would like return option {Autoblog}
Sep 27th 2006 11:35AM I am totally for this. As the second largest purchase that most people make it would be nice to have the option to return it or even rent it for a couple days. If I had this option I would have definitely returned my WRX a couple years back, cause once I had it on stop and go traffic or had to deal with the AC in hot weather more of its faults started to show through. The truth is no matter how much magazine research you do beforehand, nothing can replace spending a day or two with a car..
Mazda increasing security after video leak {Autoblog}
Aug 14th 2006 2:24PM As an RX-8 owner of three years, my issue with Mazda is squarely with the dealers. I've gone through 3 dealerships since moving to Cali and they are all rubbish. One left gum in my ignition (which another dealer was nice to remove but then attach a note to my vin in mazda's computer saying that warranty work won't be covered on the ignition if there are problems in the future)
Another tried overcharging for an A/C compressor replacement because of the wonderful place that Mazda decide to place it.
The third made me pay for a new battery even though I had an early build car which had a bad battery that was outlined in a TSB. When I brought them the TSB I was told 'we're going to hookup your car to the computer'.
I expected some issues with a first year car, but in exchange for supporting a car company with a new model, I expected them to take care of any issues that came up. I guess not.
Overall I like the car, never had an issue with flooding and the brake squeal can be remedied with proper bedding of the brakes. I don't care about the gas mileage because if I factor in the price of the car I would have bought instead (E46 M3), I would have to drive for millions of miles before saving money on gas.
2007 Ford Falcon: More RWD love for our mates downunder {Autoblog}
Aug 11th 2006 1:50PM The only reason the GTO failed was because they called it the GTO. Not realizing that people would rather have hoodscoops instead of a modern car. I'm not sure they are ready for the Falcon in this country. But an upmarket Focus (which europe has had for a while now) and a Fiesta to take over the old focus' spot would be perfect.

Aug 2nd 2006 12:07PM They should just sell DVDs here.. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Especially if they offered all the seasons..
A 4th-gen Prelude, converted to RWD {Autoblog}
Jul 30th 2006 9:45PM Sure he could have bought something rwd and saved money and time. But I don't think that's the point here. It's the difference between people who buy die-cast models and the ones that buy the plastic ones that you have to put together yourself. It sounds like the guy had a blast, learned a ton, and ended up with a car that he could truly say is his..

New Corvette division courtesy of... GM/Nissan? {Autoblog}
Jul 27th 2006 4:20PM I love the idea. This would create a dealership experience that is far better than the current situation. Instead of taking your Z06 to the same place that you take your Chevy Cobalt, you would take it somewhere that has mechanics that are trained and experienced in working on performance vehicles.

I'll wait till this is integrated directly into iTunes and a heart rate monitoring option is added. I'd like to be able to see a chart of my heart rate during my workout. Also the receiver should be integrated internally with the next Nano..
