Volkswagen considering offering Polo in U.S. market {Autoblog}
Jul 18th 2008 4:02PM Don't forget that with the gradual size creep of modern vehicles, the current Polo is about the same size (if not larger) than the original VW Rabbit. Seems quite logical to offer it in the US right now.
One point to note - the image in this post shows the last gen model; there's been a mild redesign recently.
First official shots of Opel Insignia interior released {Autoblog}
Jun 4th 2008 11:35AM Is it me, or is that interior mock up of a standard transmission Insignia missing the handbrake? :)
DO NOT mess with the Dillon Aero SUV {Autoblog}
Apr 16th 2008 9:32AM Is it just because I'm not American that I don't find this remotely exciting? A car designed to kill people? Oh yeh. Sure. Now I get it. Woohoo. Let's go murder some folk in comfort.

Mar 27th 2008 10:20AM Why would BMW launch this in Europe with EDGE? 3G has replaced EDGE in most European markets.
Jeremy Clarkson caught driving while talking on cell... Britons freak out {Autoblog}
Mar 12th 2008 9:17AM All that interests me is how the photographer managed to hold the camera while driving alongside Mr. C. :)
Seriously though, British roads are a different kettle of fish to American roads. They're narrower, twistier and consistently busier. Plus most cars (although perhaps not Jeremy's Merc) feature standard transmissions, which need two hands to be driven.
BREAKING: 2009 Infiniti FX makes after hours debut in Geneva {Autoblog}
Mar 4th 2008 7:13PM I'm really not convinced that this is the car to introduce the Infiniti marque to Europe... I could be wrong, but I reckon this lard arse is going to be swimming against the current.
More Rendered Speculation: 2010 Ford Focus {Autoblog}
Feb 12th 2008 10:35AM A global Ford? Don't make me laugh. Every time Ford Europe and Ford America sit down to design a car together they end up bickering and arguing over stupid details, and end up leaving each other in a sulk to build their own cars. It's a fantastic dream, and nice little rendering you've got there, but small minded middle managers will decide they can narrow a cost margin here and widen a profit margin here, and before you know it you'll have a superior European product and an inferior American one. Look at every generation of the Ford Escort and Ford Focus. The next generation will be just the same.
Irish politician wants country's drivers to move right {Autoblog}
Feb 10th 2008 3:32PM Guys... has everyone forgotten about Northern Ireland?
N.I. has, for all its strife through the troubles, remained a part of the UK. And the UK has no plans to switch. The NI / ROI border is completely open and a real mesh of minor and major roads.
Every single one of them would have to have some mind bending interchanger. And just switching to help new immigrants would be at the expense of the many people who cross the border every day for work, leisure, family or other reasons.
Chicago 2008: Ford Transit Connect arrives in the States ready to work {Autoblog}
Feb 6th 2008 4:28AM Introducing the Transit Connect begs the question - why not the Transit as well? The Dodge Sprinter is eating away at the Econoline market because Ford can't compete. So why not bring over the vehicle that trashes the Sprinter in many European markets?

Dec 18th 2007 9:45AM I've said it before, and I'll say it again, there's your new GMC Safari / Chevy Astro replacement just waiting to be imported...
