U.S. Supreme Court to consider government's role in CO2 regulation {Autoblog}

Jun 26th 2006 3:05PM Is this another feable attempt at trying to solve a non-existent problem of "GLOBAL WARMING" or "BIRD FLU"

Why doesn't Reuters list the "10 other states"?

The article sounds jsut a tad one sided, but what can you expect from the liberal "mainstream" media of our day...

Just one question for those living in America (USA), what kind of freedom is it when you're told what you can and can't drive?

The Autoblog Project Garage: Big-brake install, Part 1 {Autoblog}

Jun 14th 2006 5:35PM Looks like a good start, I've always enjoyed a more firm/fade-free brake pedal.

Don't forget some high-temp Z rated brake fluid, changed frequently since brake fluid accumulates a great deal of moisture that effectively lowers the boiling point...

That and a proper brake bedding proceedure go a long ways towards a great and long lasting road racing/track setup.

Keep up the good work, I like the Project Garage series...

Robert Redford wants you to Kick the Oil Habit {Autoblog}

Jun 1st 2006 5:34PM All image, little substance -- is that the new left wing motto?

Although I'm not against some of the ideas for helping America use less foreign oil, I wouldn't trust anyone at this organization any further than I could throw them.

Autoblog Travelogue - Trailer Queens and Kings of One Lap of America {Autoblog}

May 10th 2006 3:14PM #1 no rules on trailer size, the bigger the trailer the more gas you consume on the transit routes and the more mechanical wear and potential chance for mechanical breakage. Also if something happens to the trailer, wheel bearing, trailer tire blows you have to figure out how to fix it or leave the trailer behind.

In the past Ron Addee noticed excessive inner rear tire wear on his Viper from the extra weight of the tools/gear, so most teams have gone to small trailers take weight off the rear axle.

#3 -- the beatle was a TDI, but was converted to a twin-turbo vr6 with AWD... See owner's video interview:

Toyota Avalon proving 'problematic' as quality concerns grow for automaker {Autoblog}

May 2nd 2006 12:47PM No comments yet from the Toyota loyalists...

Quality is a problem when any car company gets to be a certain size. At least GM is on the way up with regards to quality and it seems quite likely that Toyota is on the way down in terms of quality.

Those facts are different that most people's current perception, but the good thing is perceptions can and will change!

Now if GM can stand up to it's worthless unions and stop the financial bleeding we'll have a great American car company again.
