Feb 12th 2008 10:59AM I would imagine GM would want this to happen? These people would already have the skills they need, why not rehire them at a reduced rate? Eventually that buyout money is worth the initial loss they are going to take or they wouldn't be doing it.

The instrument cluster looks like it is from the early 90's, almost like an original Cherokee. The plastic was already scratching on this brand new vehicle.
I almost cried as I was hoping they would have learned from past mistakes and the interior would be so much better. I have no clue why they would put this poor of quality materials in a new car after they have received such poor reviews on their interiors.
I do not think Chrysler is going to last much longer, even the new Ram is nothing special.

Jan 18th 2008 10:33AM Well it isn't a 2008 Impala since I have seen the 2008 and it is the same as the 2007 but with different wheels.
When I test drove a 2008 Malibu the dealer told me that they are scrapping the new Impala RWD due to the CAFE standards that were passed. Seems to me like the current Impala is going to be around until 2010 model year.
