Mazda1 city car coming to Paris Motor Show {Autoblog}
May 14th 2008 3:23PM The Mazda 1, is this going to be a kei type car? Any word if they will be brough to the US? I'm guessing that "no" is the official answer at the time. Mazda still has yet to find out if the Mazda 2 does well in the states. All i know is that they will sell at least one Mazda 2 as long as i can get a 3 or 5 door.

Spyker and Lotus sign cooperative agreement {Autoblog}
May 13th 2008 3:06PM I want a Spyker in the worst way. If only to sit in it. They have the most well thought-out interiors of any car i have ever seen. Every single detail has had countless hours poured over it to make sure its proportions, placement, matierial, craftsmaship, and beauty were flawless. Then they took the doodles form my fifth grade notebooks and used them as the basis of the exterior.
Seriously, i hope part of this partnership will include some of the Lotus exterior designers moving over to Spyker to give them some tips.
Rendered Speculation: 2012 Jaguar F-type {Autoblog}
May 13th 2008 12:51PM *THIS* is what Jaguar needs. Jaguar is not a volume brand; they are a manufacturer of lust and adrenaline. I would love to see Tata give Ian and co. free reign to design a sports car truly worthy to be considered an heir to the E-Type.
When the E-Type was launched it was revolutionary. It was powerful, agile, and gorgeous. On top of all that it was affordable. I think today's E-Type needs to stress light weight over raw grunt, and forward design cues over harkening back to former storied designs.
Jaguar is in an amazing position right now. They have arguably one of the greatest car designers of the 21st century and are owned by a company that wants - and can afford - to prove to the world that they are a serious competitor in the automotive industry.
This is all happening at a time when every auto manufacturer is only beginning to realize the need to change the way they design cars. Cars need to be lighter; they need to be efficient; the days of just throwing more cylinders and spark plugs at the added weight resulting from the safety devices are rapidly running out.
I, for one, am very anxious to see what Jaguar has to offer in the coming years. I truly think we all watching the rebirth of one of the most beloved and respected auto manufacturers the world has ever known.

Enter the Rumormill: Ford considering F-100 small pickup {Autoblog}
May 12th 2008 2:10PM If i were Ford (sadly i'm not) i would move forward with this F-100 idea, but at the same time i would make the Ranger smaller. Bring back the days of the old Toyota P/U. A truck with an engine bay just big enough for a V6.
Or redesign the current Ranger as planned, especially considering the F-100 would be about the same size. Then also make a smaller Ranger and bring back the Courier name plate!
