Nick Hogan sentenced to 8 months in jail {Autoblog}
May 10th 2008 1:33AM RESPONSIBILITY.............
40 PER CENT ---
TO DUMBASS PARENTS who let a child of less than 17-1/2 have access to this dangerous car at night, when he might be drinking (he was, see story)http://www.eonline.com/news/article/index.jsp?uuid=898134cd-e9b5-4744-93a3-456bdc4d666a
and presumably nurtured his overblown ego and attempt to call himself a race driver.
60 PER CENT...
TO THE DUMBASS KID HIMSELF, who drank and drove badly.
NO ONE WHO CARES ABOUT HIS PASSENGER ALLOWS HIM TO RIDE BELTLESS -- and no one who is not an idiot does not understand that this exposes the rider to greater potential injury, and himself to greater liability.
0 PER CENT.....
TO THE KID WITH CRAP TASTE IN FRIENDS.... because freasonable care was not taken for his safety, even if he might have been foolish to ride with the moron Bollea.
and A YEAR MARRIED TO STAR JONES
for the morons who write above that the boy whose life is now over must have egged Nick on.
Audi seriously considering U.S. plant {Autoblog}
May 7th 2008 11:06PM It was already obvious that there would likely be ONE U.S. plant, making both VWs and Audis, the Audis being the smaller models ---they share VW platforms and drive trains, and are more sales sensitive to price.
If there were two assembly plants, it would make more cost sense for one to make smaller cars for both, one to make larger.
You know what they say: Court orders Volvo to pay man with big feet {Autoblog}
May 7th 2008 5:22PM SURE, THERE IS A REASON---
The guy is a greedy piece of sxxx, and he found a court that would go for it.
I dont think a country with tall people, like Sweden, would be successful with cars that tall men cant drive.
BTW -- I wear a US 12, which is a Brit 13, not 12.
Obama picks worst car ever to come out of Motown {Autoblog}
May 7th 2008 5:07PM THIS IS EASY.......
25 years or so ago, I was driving up the long upgrade on the 405 freeway, from West LA to the Valley.......
In the right lane was a new Cadillac, with the infamous V8-6-4 engine, travelling at about 40 mph, the best it could do, At that time, Cadiilac"s old reputation was a recent memory, so the sight made me VERY angry at GM.
Of course, there WAS the time that my 1969 Fiat Spyder managed to unscrew and spit out a sparkplug (still attached to the wire) on its own, in San Francisco. I simply screwed it back in, and drove on.
Despite rumors, next Acura NSX won't be priced around $200k {Autoblog}
May 1st 2008 3:09PM IF THEY KEEP THEIR HEADS ... and lose the ego about having the best Ferrari-killer, they will make a sports car which sells for way under $100,000.
The Acura model lineup is stronger in the middle, weaker at the top, like Infiniti. It makes more sense for the sports car to be within reach of existing customers, not a car for a small number of the elite, at some stratospheric price point.
With all that is said about the NSX -- it was very competent, but never sold well, and trickled to embarassing numbers at the end.
In India, Kama Sutra inspires young car designer {Autoblog}
May 1st 2008 3:53AM OK -- THE POWER SEATS WILL HAVE MORE FEATURES THAN ANY MERCEDES.
Obviously, pink patent leather upholstery. Let's all take this as a reminder that, although many Indians speak perfect English, it IS a different culture from ours.

In the Autoblog Garage: 2008 Pontiac G8 GT {Autoblog}
Apr 25th 2008 2:08AM If you want a guess on the sales split -- I would say for the first shipments, 90% V-8s, later on still mostly V-8s, unless there are a lot of folks just needing to trade in their old Grand Prix. and wanting another Pontiac.

Apr 25th 2008 2:02AM I still have my 2nd black GT convertible.
Keep going, Ford! And for the next go-round, offer an interior that beats BMW, at whatever price necessary, please.
Officially Official: Corvette ZR1 makes 638 hp and 604 lb-ft {Autoblog}
Apr 25th 2008 1:59AM GREAT ENGINE!!!
Now when the F is GM going to make a Corvette that is a leader in American style and image, with a world class interior? I find it an insult to America that the best they can do is make a fantastic machine for their potbellied, grey-beard loyalists.
(Yeah, the term "gold chain" comes up, but now it is under the beards and the chin -- and I have had a driver's license since 1961, I ain't a smart ass kid)
