Meet the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 R/T {Autoblog}

Jun 30th 2008 9:52PM G- I always wanted a Dakota with a 6 speed and a 6.1 for an SRT-8. Seeing a Ram SRT-8 I'd still take a close look at it, though. I am biased, though, as I currently am driving a Neon SRT-4.

Meet the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 R/T {Autoblog}

Jun 30th 2008 5:46PM I'd say it's the right truck at the wrong time. Back in the Lightning boom of the late 90's/early 00's, it would have been a great competitor. It might have even made sense as a little brother to the departed Ram SRT-10-- especially if it was equipped with a 6 speed.

HEMI is still pretty unique to the Chrysler Corp., unlike ABS or Fuel Injection-- so I can see why they like to point out how they still are unique (not to mention that the HEMI is still closely tied to Chrysler's history).

When Honda starts using hemicylindrical engines and badging it as unique, then it'll be time to ditch the HEMI badge. Until then, Chrysler is like an elderly person; you play along with them on how nifty they are for figuring out how to use the VCR. You know it's their last hurrah before they die, even if it is a little insignificant.

Sales of premium fuel fall sharply {Autoblog}

Jun 19th 2008 5:48PM See, now I feel badly, because I run premium (and occasionally race gas) in my 60 trim SRT-4 as well as drink a lot of beer. Of course I don't do any of those other things, so cheers.

Offset high gas prices by turning your car into billboard {Autoblog}

Jun 7th 2008 5:04PM There's a red Hennessey Viper GTS running around North Austin advertising for a dentist's office complete with stickers on the sides and windows. That gets attention like no other.

Dealer selling Dodge Chargers branded "SRT-6" {Autoblog}

May 28th 2008 7:34PM As a driver of an SRT-4, I think that SRT design thing is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I've had a lot of them shift their automatic equipped Neons into neutral and rev at me at stoplights.

How do you plan to spend you tax rebate? Enthusiasts already know. {Autoblog}

Thanks for making the most intelligent comment I've heard since I can remember. I guess I'm just part of the vast right wing conspiracy along with you, despite my friends here in Texas calling me a liberal.

Unfortunately in this day and age people refuse to use their own grey matter to use their money and would prefer to let those in Washington decide their fate. I don't know what's coming to this country, but I'm afraid.

Is Hyundai targeting Texas for a new manufacturing plant? {Autoblog}

May 11th 2008 12:53PM Maybe it's a distraction and it's actually going to be GM's new plant to escape from the UAW.

Green Genesis Coupe shows up, 286 hp turbo DI engine nearby? {Autoblog}

May 6th 2008 11:03PM At 6'4" (I know I'm the exception) I flat out can't fit in a Miata/Sky/Solstice. I wish I could, but unfortunately most compact cars just flat out don't fit me.

Green Genesis Coupe shows up, 286 hp turbo DI engine nearby? {Autoblog}

May 6th 2008 7:31PM I hope to ditch my SRT-4 for one of these. If that much power is available in a turbo-4, I'd opt for it in a heartbeat. I don't want the heavy nose of a V8 or a V6 under the hood. This comes from a former LS1 T-56 Camaro owner.

Chrysler criticized for $2.99 gas, Suzuki jumps on bandwagon {Autoblog}

May 6th 2008 6:02PM I would never underestimate the astonishing naivety of the average consumer.
